Yeah im not sure then.....As ajna mentioned, its one of our horticulture TAFE teachers that insisted it was mollinierii !!! Im not sure what species it is then... All i know is it looks like monniera but tastes MUCH more bitter..... I wonder if i should bioassay... Hmmm......... -_-

A couple of questions. Has anyone heard of this native Bacopa? Does any one know if its active in the same or similar way as B.monniera? Im guessing theres no research done on this species... I tasted some of the leaves of the mollinierii and it is MUCH more bitter than monniera. Which leads me to my last question; Does anyone know if there are poisonous species of bacopa? Any thoughts?

I believe the plant mimosa hostilis is legal to grow in Australia but the rootbark would be considered a DMT preperation and would therefore be illegal....
