Cheers guys/girls? Bundy Bear- Yes I love that plant too, I believe it's a Knutianus. Looking forward to all my Eileen's growing spines again, they were cut off for shipping Belching- I did have a very hazy budget but to be honest I can't help myself so it's blown out the water and I am sure there will be more expenditure! Rumple- yeah I had a collection of about 200 Trichs in New Zealand that I had grown from seed. Alot of them are with other NZ members of this forum.

Hey all, Has anyone had any success trying to grow Validus and Taquimbalensis from seed? I have tried twice from seed I managed to import into NZ from the USA with no success. Now in Aus and keen to try again but wondered if anyone knew a source of viable seed? I raised hundreds of Trichs from seed so like to think my methods are okay but no luck with these two. Cheers

Centipede, Completely off the subject, kind off, but just bought two Peruviuan crests off Ebay. One looks like that 4 headed Terschekii I sold to you, quite mutated for a crest Didn't have these crests back home in NZ

Hey mate, That giant Taquimbalensis came from a cuting I bought from Coramandel Cactus, wish I had had the pleasure of growing that monster from seed!!
-
Why do you think such poor germination rates compared to other Trich's?
-
Oh, okay, then I definately gave up too early!! Will definately try again, I love taquimbalensis and see so few of them. Validus I have never seen in the flesh but want to add to my collection. Cheers
-
Thanks for the advise, I may have given up too early based on my experience of other other Trich germination times.

Hi all, I have recently moved to Adelaide from NZ. I sold, with tears in my cornflakes, a large Trich collection, many to memebers on this forum before I left. I have started collecting for my new collection and thought no harm in asking if any members may be willing to sell me cutting/plants from their collections. Miss my Trich's!!! Thanks Getafix

Keep us posted with your research. Sounds like the making of a masters thesis. I can shut my eyes and imagine your vision. Possible, who knows?!

Have achieved this artifically, have experienced sound/music form visually but have no real formula for this so probably not much help but feel priviledged for the experience. Would be interesting to have capability to turn this on at will!

What a spot guys and girls, looks almost like it could be in Nelson with all that sun ha ha!
-
A bit of both. Will definately source some rooted plants for a bit of instant gratification but definately keen to go nuts on seed again. Would definately be interested in all of the above seed. I just harvested some nice seeds form my one and only Lophophora which are coming to Aus with me.

Bog Frog has that fat Bridgesii tip thrown any roots yet?

My pleasure. Has been very difficult parting with these plants but between you guys and Centipede I know they went to the right people! Itching to get my new collection started in Aus now!
