Another shot of the hybrid, pretty happy with the flower I had hoped for a apricot tone but no such luck. Today I crossed this flower with a G. ragonesi, in a years time I should have a photo of that progeny lol.

Big Vine but no space to grow it. lol The things probably already cost me 60 dollars in fertiliser and water but watching how fast it grows is awesome. Thirsty bugger too, will take 10 litres of juice a day to keep it upright already. Gonna cost me a fortune. lol

Got some of the crosses I did I actually opened the flower up a bit with a scalpel, and using the actual stamens is the best bet.

Hi Torston I can't change my email as I don't know my password. When your logged in if you want to change the email you have to put in current password to do so. So I'm kinda stuck. If I log out ask to send me a new password it won't. So not sure how to get around this? If I log out I will lose this account, Which is no drama but I thought you guys might have a access to our passwords or something.

tasted great not as starchy as some yams. you could easily make a bread out of this stuff, very starchy but still palatable. -

Queensland Arrowroot Canna edulis I'm in QLD and this does grow like a weed here. cooking some tonight, if it taste ok I'll be sourcing and planting a heap. Got a plant from a member here and it turned into this lot in short time. and a replant of smaller tubers to space it out and encourage new growth -

It doesn't appear to produce any chlorophyll or carotenoids. or extremely low levels of carotenoids maybe? Hows it handling light? I had Lobivia with pretty extreme albinism but when I put them out side they melted.

definite euphorbia, got white sap? -
JB (Jims Bridge from Cactus Country) open pollinated are my fastest growing Trichocereus. Seeds were from PD germinated February 2012. I put a a few plants in the ground a couple months ago and they were attacked by slugs and grasshoppers straight away . A few weeks ago I hit everything with some fertilisers and molasses and today I went down and found these. This plant is one of my favourites its the most vigorous seedling I have and seems to be immune to black spot so far I get the feeling it wants to be a big beast, and it actually gets a really nice blue glauca through it. I think it may be crossed with either pachanoi/ macrogonus/ rosei. Which do very well here. slug damage Pups

i'd cut that pup that its grafted too from the main plant should increase growth.
