  1. That happens to a lot of my cuttings - it think its pretty common. It doesn't usually penetrate into the plant or cause any damage. Keep it dry just to be sure, and if you want to be extra cautious, rub some sulfur powder all over it. You should be able to get this from a nursery, although they don't always seem to have it.


  2. Nice work! I did one of these on a nice big san pedro. It did nothing for about 2 and a half months, so I cut it off, only to find that it had fused with the stock very nicely! I should have been more patient! I've now regrafted it using a wedge-graft (I had to in order to preserve its only areole).


  3. Stunning, aren't they? Not sure about the age - this plant was gifted to me by my partners grandparents about a year ago. It flowered last year too, despite me accidentally breaking the longer section in half. It was broken at a right-angle but was still attached, and I simply propped it up again. A day later, I came to remove the broken part but I couldn't find where it had broken! It had just healed up like a graft would, and then started flowering a few weeks later!
