    Preserving Sporeprints

And I'm not quite sure what variety of wood lovers they are.. I have not collected any this season yet. Based in melbourne though. I have plenty of mycelial growth but am not sure if its the right stuff.. I did have some white stalked orange cap's with orange gills, but they were weeded out.. time will tell.. pics will follow if i have success..

    Preserving Sporeprints

Ok so last year I spent quite a substantial amount of time and effort getting a pressure cooker, a microwave, petrie dishes, agar, alcohol, scalpel, all this crap and then found that I my prints were not done in a sterile manner, and that i had wood lovers, but was ramping up a dung heap.. anyway my question is.. so you have sterile foil, but the cap isn't sterile, nor is the air in the glass.... so si sterilising the foil just to minimise contamination? Also I found a year old collection of wood lover spore prints I totally forgot about in my cupboard (on plain paper, in zip lock bags) I hydrated them in tap water for a day or so and went for a walk at a few local parks with my water gun and sprayed some mulch beds. Do wood lovers like a particular type of wood? I guess the council park wood chips can and do contain everything..

    Capsules wanted

I dry medicinal mushrooms and then throw them all in a blender for 5 minutes to pulverise them into fine powder. I used to buy cenovis celery seed 2500mg from safeway then empty the content out and re fill them with my mushroom powder. This process evens out the medicinal properties of my entire batch of mushroom, and basically creates a known dose. - "Do I need 2 or 3?" 2 of these before heading out to the movies or the local bar and I generally have a very good night. However now cenovis are making pilled type. The variety of capsules is quickly diminishing. Does anyone know a source for these items? Empty if possible, or a cheap suppliment if not. Chemists dont take kindly to being asked.

    h202 method

I saw a guy who was selling the method on a web site, as a manual, but I cant remember the site. Might refresh someone else's memory though...

    Melb Season

There is something about those 'little fellas' that deserves a higher level of respect. I have dreams about them almost always before it rains, this time of year. Which to me means in some way they are calling me. But I know not where from. So now these dreams are tormenting me. I woke up on Tuesday after one such dream. I looked in the yard, there was a heavy damp / light rain during the night. But my meterological mind is telling me - too early - no rain. I'd always seen the appearance of chestnuts as the herald of the season. Must have been wrong. I'll switch to The Queens birthday. Thanks for the season correction. I am still excited - its better than christmas!

    fly agaric legality

They are indeed controlled but the quantities needed to be charged for commercial manufacture / trafficing and large scale manufacture / trafficing are not displayed in the Government Legislation ACT I downloaded from.. http://www.legislation.act.gov.au/sl/2005-.../pdf/2005-2.pdf Schedule 1 has all the usual stuff Schedule 2 has controlled plants. - page 23 of 29 The document lists all controlled substances and how naughty they are. This is an interesting read, as it lists many plants and species I had never even heard of - and I cant say I know many but I spent many an hour plugging the names into google image search to see if I recognised any garden varieties. And there are a few - sally for one. m-kay...

    Melb Season

It has not rained here in weeks! Every damn day is sunny, each night is crystal clear and cold(maybe a little damp), but its just not wet. Im starting to wonder if its getting too late. A few bush walks have been just that - bush walks nothing more. Last one was 2 weeks ago, before that march - early. What are other people finding - or not finding.
