Martyh64 Posted October 30, 2018 Hey all, So ive got a couple of Catha pushing 12 months old, on one in particular the stem has lost significant amount of color, I'm not sure if it is sick or a pest is attacking it. Also, some of the new foliage is slightly deformed with some leaves, kind of curled and misshapen. Please see pictures attached. If anyone is able to shed some light on what the problem might be I'd be very grateful. I water them often and feed every so often with Maxicrop seaweed concentrate. Halcyon Daze Posted October 30, 2018 (edited) Those tough old leaves won't ever heal or improve, they're like that for good now. So just ignore them. It's the young shoots that will be the makings of the plant. They will grow big and healthy if you give the plant the right environment. I'd say pot it up, stake it and put it in plenty of sun ( not too much that it gets scorched). Afternoon shade is good. Don't fertilise it anymore. Those young tips won't be able to handle much fert. They are too young, small and too few. Remember, potted plants love to be mulched! Edited October 30, 2018 by Halcyon Daze
