Idplugg Posted June 27, 2003 Is it possible? Would freezing the freshly harvested leaves prevent the cathinone from breaking down?
Torsten Posted June 28, 2003 it will slow the process down, but won't stop it. Leaves will still be active in a few days or week or so, but not much beyond that. Temp is not the only factor in degrading the cathinone. But please don't forget that even dried khat still has some good stimulating qualities from the cathine. theobromos Posted July 5, 2003 What about crushing it, diluting with a solid acidic polymer and then freezing?
Torsten Posted July 7, 2003 theo - the acid would slow thing down even more, but would NOT stop the degradation. I know we differ on our 'take' on cathinone, so I won't elaborate Not sure why you want to use a polymer though?
theobromos Posted July 19, 2003 The polymer would be to keep the molecules fixed in place and well separated so they couldn't dimerise (assuming a polymer with well spaced acidic groups). Obviously this would not work with your view of cathinone decay but you are mistaken. I am sorry that you can't follow my argument explaining why.
