It seriously is! but why? many of the most powerful people in history have not been white, nor middle aged, nor necessarily even male. egyptians, persians, greeks, romans, normans, saxons, mongols, indians etc, there have been so many dominating cultures in the history of the (known) world run by so many colourful people i don't think it appropriate to say the ruler of the world image is clear cut to be the suit-clad white (quasi)christian. right now india, pakistan, china etc could just as easily end the world as the next president elect, we just won't hear about it as much on our Americanized news service and they may not be as mentally lacking is some US officials to do so. every day 'white' becomes more of a minority in the US, as other racial groups stick together to fight 'white oppression'. santiago, the first part of your post i had no problems with, it was that you asserted romney to be the better man because he looks white, and implied barrack is good because he doesn't sound 'urban' (a real thing, the black president has to sound white because people like yourself may not vote for him otherwise). i'm sorry if my thoughts on your post were wrong, but i'm really sick of people bringing 'race' (no longer an accepted anthropological term) into the discussion (as you may not have, but, i may have misread the word 'cast' in the context of compairing how the candidates look). why can't it be enough barrack is a murderer and a con artist that he will lose, and not that he isn't white and doesn't sound black.

^ really? i find so much wrong with this post its not even worth my time to type complaints. the one thought i will leave you with, why do you imagine the 'leader of the world' to be a middle aged white man, perfectly cast for the role. an abhorrent statement.

crazy looking, labeled loph sp
dionysus replied to George Simian's question in Cactus & Succulent Identification
i was going to suggest perhaps a matucana sp (or submatucana). before but was not (and still not) convinced, however i keep coming back there. perhaps a funky hybrid or semi monstrose variety. looks like an awesome and old specimen anyway, cool plant -
love this one at the moment

hmm, must be all the super-breeding going on in the former soviet states... any reports of glowing eyes? sure it wasn't one squirrel with a pack of heads? lol not really related, but interesting that instead of being a desolate mutation zone full of savage squirrels, prypiat is now a thriving 'wildlife sanctuary'

i've met a few homeless dudes over the years.i envy them at times, truly abandoning the consumerist lifestyle i (and others) so openly loathe to wander around where they like, sleep when tired not when a work schedule dictates and enjoy the magic of a near-permanently altered consciousness. bliss. plus, how easy is it to get a feed when all you need to do is say "i'm homeless" and some lefty will through a meal and a pair of socks at you. less fortunate? relative to them, surely not.

Drug Squad Confiscates 1624 Daisies in Suburban Garden Raid
dionysus replied to Rabaelthazar's topic in News & Notices
it's worse even than that. they had 1.5 lbs of reference material... surely they noticed the look, smell, taste, and feel of the daisies was off. probably only when one of the corrupt arse holes pinched some to smoke for himself, though (this statement is unfounded, but, still...) -
mm, a good point raised. i wonder how many kids are huffing lines of actual bath salts from their mothers bathroom in an attempt to get high, poor little sods (or, suds, should i say)

oh i missed that last sentance lol sorry i recommend "Signaller Johnstone's Secret War' by peter pinney, for something very different to what i gather else will be recommended . it is an australian soldier (signaller > rifleman > commando) from world war 2's illegally kept diaries from the period. full of awful stuff, but super interesting i found. peter pinney seems to have been a pretty clever guy and very well written, i often wonder what he would have written about had he never been enlisted, or wheather it would have been as interesting (his later works were still good, but influenced by his earlier life ) heres a link to a family-maintained website with some information about him and his books http://www.dustonmyshoes.com/Peter.html

Drug Squad Confiscates 1624 Daisies in Suburban Garden Raid
dionysus replied to Rabaelthazar's topic in News & Notices
so, police with 0 knowledge mistakenly raid someone with much knowledge? if the authorities can not identify even one of the easiest plants to identify, how can they assert to know the effects of said plant when smoked (better than those who smoke it)? cannabis is probably illegal on the grounds that smoking a daisy or some japanese maple made a DEA person sick in a trial in the 30's -
smoking a small amount of my iochroma gives very similar results to brugmansia IMO, i have never before sampled datura. ~2 pipes (mixed with a little tobacco) worth is smoked every now and then as a sort of substitute for other smoking 'erbs.i find a nice smooth smoke with a calming action, really mildly confusing / intoxicating. also been used against nausea during argyreia nervosa sessions to good effect. these activities were undertaken under the assumption of tropane presence and effects were relatively expected. i suggest taking care if anyone else decides to bio-assay this plant, i think there is reason to take as much caution as should be taken as with other solanacae Spp

Trichocereus bridgesii, Ariocarpus fissuratus and Peyote- impressions
dionysus replied to mindperformer's topic in Cacti & Succulents
i think mammilaria wildii to have mostly white hooked central spines. it seems to me the spination of your cactus is within the variable limits for bombycina, taking also into account environmental factors (your plant does look to have had a reasonably rough time somewhere in its life). i believe in part or full shade this species spines less densely edit: i would much like to here someone more informed's opinion, EG?- 19 replies

there has been talk in the VIC party scene of an nBOMe compounds being passed around as LSD, which apparently has a metallic taste (as opposed to LSDs reported no taste) which may explain why some in VIC or AUS at large may experience such a taste. never before have i heard another first hand report of this without the aforementioned variable, but this may very well be down to people not caring, or accepting it is a part of the experience (which people seem to of many negative side effects, jaw clenching etc). it may be wise to advise anyone that reports this to you to try to swallow the same dose immediately instead of sub-lingual dosing which is common, as i believe nBOMe series chemicals are destroyed in the gut. this may rule out or confirm that as a factor. edit: advice given only for the purpose of harm reduction, i do not advise anyone to take a dose of any illegal substance, especially when unknown chemical make up or purity is a concern

Fear is the path to the dark psy. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering
