  1. It's a point of contention whether interest = intent. After the recent shit that went down with ben mccormack the judge didn't seem think so or even that he was was a threat to the public but the judge is a grown man who wears dress for a living so the answer is not so clear cut.

I just hope they don't find my collection of midget porn. As the head of the Australian dwarf throwing association, I dare say they they'd see it as breach of trust. I'd never be able to show my face around those little bastards ever again.

  2. Who would have thought you could get PTSD from looking at an avatar. Thanks for that Stu.

Before I came clean with my kids and told them Santa was bullshit my oldest daughter was misbehaving in the lead up to Christmas. I told her Santa knows when you've been bad & if you keep it up you won't get any presents. She said you've said that before but he always comes anyway.

I snapped it & said well I'll stay up all night & drink the beer you leave out for him and when he gets here I'll king hit the cunt so he never comes back. She pulled her head in and behaved herself for about three days after that.

I just hope they let him keep his cacti collection in jail. I'd hate to see all his cacti go to waste.

I'm not sure I follow that @Inyan, do you mean you hope they don't confiscate them from his house or let him take them to prison ?

If it works anything like it does around here all of his shit will be up for grabs. The local ice addicts clean out the entire property within days of someone being locked up.

  4. If anyone is having legal problems check this out. The truth is finally starting to come out.

If you enjoyed that this next one might help put it into context

    I hope everything's OK mate.

By saying 'ive done it myself with good results' I assume you mean you have had the treatment and not centrifuged your own blood and injected it yourself... lol i feel silly even asking but hey... stranger things happen right?

Yeah I did it myself at home. I had all the sterile gear from working with fungi so it wasn't a great leap from that to sterile blood work.

There's a few ways to do it, one is just to spin your blood in a centrifuge ( I used a wood lathe for a centrifuge) and collect the lower fraction of plasma which is rich in platelets and growth factors, the other reduces the fraction even further to a buffy coat and then that's injected into the site of the injury. I didn't go all the way to a buffy coat and just used the plasma fraction.. It worked quite well on a tennis elbow problem I'd had for years.

I've also done my own stem cell treatments a few times with good results. Stem cell isolation is a lot more complex, so I won't elaborate too much here. I could write a 20 page essay on that.

  7. Did your doc tell you to avoid the bow until your shoulder settles down ?,

I'd lay off the bow myself it were me.

If it was a C/T scan then they are super quick these days, they take less than a third of time to do the same job as the did ten or 15 years ago. The real work goes on behind the scenes when the radiologist interprets the results out in a back room somewhere.

If you had an MRI, they are notorious for missing micro tears in soft tissue and most docs don't even know that's the case. If you have micro tears in the supporting tissue then there will be laxity in the joint which will basically re-injure it every time you load the joint.

The Indian clubs will gently stretch and exercise the muscles and tendons and tighten the joint back up.

Platelet rich plasma (PRP) & Prolotherapy is being used to treat conditions like yours with good results.  They trigger an inflammatory response which initiates healing. In some ways it's like a reset and gives your body a second chance to heal properly. I've done it myself with good results.

  8. What did the scans show @Dicko ?

Were there any rotator cuff tears of any damage to the humeral head or the capsule ?

I was veteran of over 100 shoulder dislocations before I bit the bullet and got it reconstructed. I had a damaged capsule and the humeral head was chipped so I had chunks of bone floating around in the joint. The reconstruction didn't help with the pain at all and actually made it worse, it didn't stop it dislocating either.

I tried everything the doctors and physio's recommended and nothing really helped much. Then I stumbled across Indian clubs and found out they were good for shoulder rehab. They strengthen the muscles around the joint and stretch the scar tissue around the capsule which frees it up and greatly reduces the pain. Since picking them up I haven't looked back, they worked wonders for me. Now I can do HSPU's without any pain at all.

Pat Miletich was a UFC  fighter around 2000, he destroyed his shoulder in the ring through multiple injuries. He found medication and physio wasn't helping him much either, so he started with Indian clubs and made a full recovery. He's helped countless others with shoulder issues just by putting a set of light Indian clubs in their hands and showing them the basics.

"With over 40 professional fights I’ve had to deal with a number of injuries including a partial rotator cuff tear, a jammed shoulder and cartilage damage.  I went through extensive rehabilitation with limited success.  I was introduced to Indian Clubs a little over 2 years ago and I can tell you since using the clubs on a regular basis, “my shoulder now feels solid and 100%”.  Indian Club Exercise are now a necessary part of Miletich Fighting Systems training.  Not only for me, but all our fighters."

This video got me hooked & after I got my clubs and started using them regularly my shoulders just got better.

  9. They should be fine when they go in the ground @Skellum , the ants will fuck off and find some other habit that's raised or partially raised above ground level (if they are the same species that causes me problems) They do live in soil but they prefer to use an above ground hatchery for their eggs and that's when they waterproof the nest with some sort of waxy shit which causes the problems in pots.

Dirty fuckers, its the little brown bastards that get into your honey pot type...

What to do Sal? Depot, fuck the ants up/off then repot with some fresh soil?

I'm not sure if they are same species that get into honey, they look very similar though. They tend to invade any fallen timber and any wood that's in contact with soil. Unlike other ants they don't seem to have any central home base, they can establish new colonies independent to each all over the place.

Re-potting solves the problem for a while but they are hard to keep out long term. Not much short of moat will stop the bastards getting back in.

Are ants bad news for the root systems of trichos/cacti in general?

It depends on the species of ants, as @Gimlil & @Horus have noted sometimes they can be beneficial. If you get the little brown fuckers in a pot they exude a waxy coating that makes the soil impervious to water. I've had them move in and you can soak the pot in water for 3 days or more and the soil still won't get wet.

In a sandy soil green ants can do the same thing. It affects smaller plants with a small root ball mostly, once the plants get a bit bigger they send feeder roots out over a wider area and it's not so much of a problem.

  12. Were the stunted plants in pots before they were planted in the ground ?

Sometimes potted plants get rootbound and they just stagnate when planted out if you don't loosen up the roots before re-planting.

If that's the case then you could dig them up & remove about 1/3 of the roots before replanting. It's a good idea not to water them for a few days after trimming the roots so the damaged roots can heal up. Damaged roots are more susceptible to rot than normal.

If that's not the case check all the usual things like soil PH and look for ant nests in & around the roots.  I'd give them a big drink and after about an hour go back and stick your finger in the soil to see if it is actually getting wet, sometimes the sandy soil can become very repellent and can need a wetting agent or some organic matter mixed in so it will take up water.
