http://www.abc.net.au/news/2016-05-10/medicinal-cannabis-bill-to-be-introduced-in-queensland/7399794 Some Queensland doctors could be prescribing medicinal cannabis to patients from as early as next month, the State Government says. i.e. this month. However, Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk warned this was not a first step toward broader decriminalisation of the drug. "This is in no way a green light for the recreational use of cannabis nor for people to grow their own cannabis, even if for therapeutic use," she said. To that I say, hmmm, not buying it Anna. You and I both know what comes next, don't we love? AND THIS http://www.abc.net.au/news/2016-05-10/medicinal-cannabis-bill-to-be-introduced-in-queensland/7399794 Health Minister Cameron Dick will introduce the Public Health (Medicinal Cannabis) Bill 2016, which he said would create the most progressive laws in Australia and set up a robust framework to ensure it was prescribed safely. Please keep your eyes open for this type of comment. "Progressive". Oh, we're progressive with cannabis now are we? Well lets just see how 'progressive' the until now quiet ACT and SA get by the end of the year. Yeah I reckon every state will start getting a whole lot more 'progressive' as the next 12 months roll on. Goddamn, that was fast. Still, gotta stay ahead of the competition. One-upmanship I think it's called...

This, in contrast to QLD government's emphatic ruling-out of decriminalising drugs: https://hightimes.com/news/illinois-nets-10-million-tax-revenue-from-first-month-adult-use-pot-sales/ “Revenue raised in this first month will soon begin flowing back into those communities to begin repairing the damage done by the failed policies of the past and creating new opportunities for those who have been left behind for far too long,” Hutchinson said. Why would any QLD'er want that?? Gov knows best though aye?

*** NOTE: I have revised the title of this thread and added relevant tags. The original post is below. *** Just wondering if anyone has been lucky enough to have come across cubes yet. With so little rain so far through summer I'm assuming the wait is till on. If not and I've missed my opportunity...FUCK! The suspense, and reading of various older posts on the topic, is too much now. Cheers.

Usually the active mushrooms of SE QLD will wait a few days after rain to flush, but it is all dependent on their exposure and how much actually falls around them. Imo the best weather for mushroom foraging is when the humidity is pretty much 100% (i.e. light misting rain with occasional showers). They will continue to pop when it is wet or dry; it just depends on the saturation of the spot. The main thing to consider is that most actives, particularly cubes, will present different when they are very wet, so ID may be a bit tricky at times if you are new to it. Get out there if you can!

In a nutshell, yes, they are seasonal as soil temps are a big factor for fruiting. Rain is essential as mushrooms can be around 90% water. Subs can be found in QLD. Have a flick back through this thread for some photos and times of year, etc.
  8. Only 2665 sigs so far... Legalising cannabis Eligibility - Queensland residents https://www.parliament.qld.gov.au/work-of-assembly/petitions/petition-details?id=3217 TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House that: Criminalisation has not prevented or reduced cannabis use, and has instead resulted in further harms to drug users forced into interaction with dealers and the criminal justice system; Drug use, including the use of cannabis, should be treated as a health issue rather than a criminal one; and This has been recognised in various other jurisdictions, including most recently in the Australian Capital Territory which has decriminalised cannabis growth and possession for personal use. Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to legalise the growth, possession, use and supply of cannabis for adults in Queensland, provide amnesty for people with current cannabis-related convictions and increase funding for drug support services.

    Non toxic deliriants?

Yeah, not sure of the toxicity of it, but aren't brugs delirient in nature? Scopolamine being derived from them?

Pretty dry now. Some lovely sunny cubes this morning but I would expect that they will diminish over the next 3 or so days, unless there is more rain of course

I've found an increased overall pallor, but it is largely exclusive to the gills. Just no spores present at all. Maybe we should rename them sterile cubes?

I haven't found any, however I guess one would have to consume them apart from typical specimens to see if there is any potency variation.

If you are wanting a nice viewing of cubensis, now is probably the time. The heat and spate of relatively dry weather has brought them out in force! Happy hunting

This type of shit is exactly the problem with politicians and drug policy in Australia: https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-01-31/drug-offences-penalties-qld-police-prison/11918390 Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has ruled out decriminalising drugs despite a new report saying it would cut the state's record rate of incarceration and save hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars a year Let's just keep ignoring the evidence and experts aye? Seems to be going well... FUCKWITS!!

Looks like a bunch of cubes to me mate. Some people do the tea thing (not a bad idea for something that grows out of cow shit to zap anything, just below boiling temp) but many do eat them whole. Some may experience cramps or tummy stuff, which many believe has to do with the chitin. Not that anyone is consuming illicit mushrooms around here or anything, or admitting to anything of the sort either

^ Trespassing is against the law. I would advise against it, and, even more to the point, I wouldn't announce that I have intention to do so here. That said I saw a few cubes today. Need a bit more rain though, and it looks like the end of the week shall provide!
