Just been talking with Alan Rockefeller and we need some fresh or dry fungi for the mushroom id workshop. If anyone could bring some specimens that would be fantastic.

    Meet up: Melbourne

So we have The 1st. The 8th and the 15th ---Kiaora Ethereal! <3 Let's work with these magic numbers and add no more. I'm not fussed so I'll leave it to others to speak up with a date that works for them. Once we get a few yays for a date, we'll go with that. I'd personally just call the 8th but I don't want Stu to miss out. Any chance of making the 8th Stu?

    Meet up: Melbourne

Dates don't worry me so the 8th of October is cool for me, Stu. All interested just try to lock in a date. I'll be there. The Gardens are lovely in Spring @obtuse: We do need to catch up. Got Alan coming over to talk for EGA. I'm trying to keep him in the country until the fungi arrive down here. I'm without a vehicle for the next few weeks but hope to have a new space ship soon. We'll work something out.

    Meet up: Melbourne

I'm keen for a meet before EGA in December. We should probably pow wow together before then. Plus, it's Spring. We need to celebrate that at least. :).
  9. Was repotting some plants and had some leftover rooted offsets. Thought some people here might be interested in grabbing one or all. I'm interested in other Asclepiads, funky flowering poppy seed, interesting plants and seeds or if desperate I can just send them out. From left to right: Huernia zebrina, Stapelia variegata and Huernia schneideriana

    Sausage/Macrogonus cuts and Loph Grafts

Hey ol' chap. I knew they'd be treated well in your care. Thank you for homing all the orphan cactus. The poor spiny feckers.

    Sausage/Macrogonus cuts and Loph Grafts

Yes, I do. Turns out the macrogonus were originally acquired as peruvianus seedlings. Someone, who I wont name, then made up another name and on sold them to me, at a premium, a few years ago. This person is on a shit list now because they're a rip off merchant, liar and pretty unshroomy to boot. But, some of the other seedlings from this batch did express peruvianus-like traits. Maybe a cross I was told. Seeing as this is a big clusterfuck for all involved, the prices have been heavily reduced. As for the sausage I got this from Field's in person.

    Sausage/Macrogonus cuts and Loph Grafts

Good call, and I've thought this myself. Just messaged some people to find out some more information. If I can't get to bottom of it then I'll sell them a lot cheaper than currently listed. I'm not out to rip people off.

ID-found growing in fern from Bunnings

I sure do. I'd really like to get these sequenced.

ID-found growing in fern from Bunnings

I don't think these are P. alutacea as they have a pronounced nipple on the top of the pileus, and these don't. These do resemble a yet to be named Psilocybe sp. that has been found in potted plants before. It's close to P. moravica but is probably somethng different. Some links: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/14381066#14381066 http://mushroomobserver.org/7388?q=2hrpI You should save and dry a specimen for DNA sequencing. Contact me if you want to sequence it.

Firing up the magnatron and locking in coordinates. Hopefully the space dolphins don't slow me down, they've been needy lately....

    Sausage/Macrogonus cuts and Loph Grafts

I agree about them snapping off but they need to go due to space restrictions. Propagation isn't an option.
