    how come it asks for your addy when theres nothing to send?

    and doesnt paypal automatically give the addy anyway?

    (i never understood why some  sites with paypal still insist on your dets when they get em from payp' - e.g. succseed but thankfully not cactus shop)

    Although I notice that some sites are catching on to people using this, and are actively blocking content if they find you blocking ads, like news sites.

    Use uBlock origin instead. less resource heavy than adblock plus.

"integrated" ads like sponsored tweets and shit in the twitter app are not (as far as I'm aware? feel free to let me know if I am though) removable. Lots of apps will also profile you based on other apps you've installed.

    https://www.google.com/settings/u/0/ads/authenticated?hl=en Will allow you to "Opt out" of interest based advertising. Honestly not sure how effective it actually is.

    The tl;dr is it's a non-circulating hydro system. Set and forget. No pumps, no circulating water.

     

    The longer tl;dr: prepare dark bucket/reservoir with water+nutes, obtain net pot, put well rooted plant in net pot, make sure it's only JUST touching the water, the roots will grow into the water and become "water roots", the ones that aren't in water will turn into "air roots", once your reservoir is depleted your plant is harvestable.

     

    Works best with whole-plant harvest leafy greens but apparently works with a bunch of other things too including taters?

    The big tab is my main homie. He's about 11 years old and the sweetest little huge chubster I know. Getting a bit slow now days but still managed to pull in a feral rabbit within a week of moving into his new place.

     

    The black and white one is a bit of a derp. Very rough but loves a good cuddle too. Just not being picked up. He sleeps on my bed every night and most of the day.

     

    The little ms. tab with a ranga spot on her head is my true little baby that doesn't live up here with me unfortunately. She's the one you can cradle to sleep in your arms.

    For the last few years I've been living down in the burbs and not doing too well. Eating badly, not getting out a lot, mental health, etc. So headed up to my dad's place for a few days to try clear my head and get some IT stuff done for him. In those few days, I (slowly) came to the realisation that even though I have some personal/political disagreements with my father and his wife, it's MUCH better for me to be out here so... here I am! Living in the country for the foreseeable future!

     

    So what am I doing out here? (very image heavy below)

     

    Well, we've got wireless NBN so I'm not entirely ditching technology, it's still my profession (and hobby).

    (I'm not going to include a picture of my computer...)

     

    Now that I've got some space again, I'm going to get back into gardening. There's some really nice large beds laid out here already to build upon (and maintain...)

     

    PS: Yes, we know the black irrigation pipe is gross looking. New gravel to cover it is coming next week (hopefully) so we've got until then to make sure 100% of it is working...

    We're probably going to clear the center of this front-circle out a bit and fill it with some cacti (as a side note: why would one huge protea completely die but the two next to it be in near perfect health? I have more garden questions at some point too)

    This is our only 'people grass' right now but I kinda like it that way. yes, that is a chess board. no, I don't have the pieces - the previous owner took them so I'm going to have to make my own.

    Previous owner was nice enough to start a little fruit orchard. Previous owner was not nice enough to take care of it :(

     

    I think it goes apple (not pictured), misc barrel shit, mandarin of some variety (with spikes! delicious but ouch!), apricot, dead citrus, dead apple, nearly dead citrus, apple (at the end)

    Tips for caring for these fruit trees would be crazy helpful and appreciated!

     

    Some nice sheds too (though never big enough, of course) for working on whatever I happen to feel like. Cars, wood, metal, bikes, ???

    and finally there's about 1.5-2 acres of land we're not entirely sure what to do with yet. Big open field(s) down the back. We're (probably) going to get some mini dairy goats (nigerian dwarf goats for those of you interested in talking goats) because I found out a) I'm lactose intolerant, B) goat milk products are deliciouss, c)  they don't make me want to die a few hours later and d) side money maybe? who knows.

    What doublebenno said.

     

    Motherboard is the "mother" that connects all the "children" components together. Those hard drives can be plugged-in (internally or through an external enclosure) to any computer and the data will be readable.
