At 5 days old

now some plates one or two are showing some breakthrough mycelium sof a strange sort - thin and aerial wispy

it may or may not ne part of the morphology of p roquefortii as it ages. Only clean up will tell

Today

They have grown to cover thebetter part of the plate and there are visible growth pattern differences between the Stilton and King island strains (embarrassing admission- forgot to label which one was strin 1 and which was strain 2 - and ate the remainder of cheese :( but can get the king island one again easily and am prepare to make that sacrifice )

Strain 1

Strain 2

together for comparison - top 2 = strain 1, boittom 2 = strain 2

next step cleanup

then spore syringes

easy

Camembert mould should be as easy

and Tempeh

BTW for anyone waiting for Oyster syringes theyre on the boil too..

Pink, Gold, warm weather and Blue
