kitty Posted March 8, 2004 I have a bunch of A. Nilotica plantlets in the garden which have grown from fallen seeds. They vary in size between about 10cm and half a metre. If there is any interest in having me dig these up and pot them for sale/trade, PM me. Chris.
dax Posted March 9, 2004 I may not be right but I don’t think you have the A.nilotica their, it most likely you have another weed called prickly acacia named A.paradoxa which is now sometimes called Racosperma paradoxum. It easy to tell them apart A.nilotica has true leave you know the bipinnate one and the R. paradoxum has phyllodes 1-3 cm long to 8mm wide with the mid vein usually not centred. Check it out, if it is the A.nilotica I would be keen to trade for some leaves, bark and roots.
