Guest MICHAEL Posted November 16, 2000 ...OR whites to be exact! I seem to have made a mistake: recently put my san pedro seedlings (biggest one not more than an inch in height) in full sun "just for the day" and they've turned white. WHAT? why? prognosis? anyone? Guest Ramon Posted November 16, 2000 The usual result from Sun Burn is red. But most probably too much sun. I suggest move back to where they were.
Guest wira Posted November 16, 2000 How white do you mean? I've seen Trichos 'bleach' before from getting more sun than they're used to, but this is usually in patches rather than all over, and I'd describe it more as paling of the green, rather than turning white, in what I've seen. It's a good idea not to suddenly give a cactus was more light than it's used to, they can get quite a shock, especially if they're small. Introducing them gradually to stronger light is the way to go [This message has been edited by wira (edited 15 November 2000).]
