The nexus cultivar is a cross between cartha and viridis. I've always been of the persuasion catha and Alba are syn, if that's the case then yes they can cross as its been done in Australia. The nexus seed is said to be sterile, I've let all mine flower together this year (catha, viridis and nexus) so will have a whole heap of open poll seed soon, the berries are just starting to form
