2XB Posted January 12, 2015 The root stock eventually dies so it won't be permanent. Cut it off and let it dry and then root!!! I saw a cool tek by an american sab member that wrapped the base of the scion in Hessian etc to force roots prior to removing from root stock.... hook ahead maybe..????
