Gunfigher's Amorphophallus Titanum Growlog

I've put it in a mix of 3/4 peat, 1/4 vermiculite and sugarcane mulch. Gave it a spray with seasol and put it in a bucket with a plastic bag over it.

Suggest you wash the seasol off, pretty high in salts and wouldn't want her to burn. Watch out for rot so better to underpot at start to avoid overwatering!

Thanks for the advice whitewind! What I sprayed it with is barely enough to worry about, I think if I were to rinse it off now that might be a little too wet. There is 3" metal stand in the bottom of the bucket so that it doesn't stay waterlogged. And it has a nice warm place in my laundry to sit over a heatmat on a cold night like tonight.

I'm feeling fairly confident. But keep the comments and advice coming in.

Tubers can be prone to Pythium, the leaf might look okay but it's rotting down below! But its not good to muck abut with the roots and tuber while the leaf is there, so it can be tricky to see if this is happening. You'll be able to tell if something is amiss when the leaf die back, the tuber should be hard, if its squishy on the edges you have problems.

Give it plenty of light so it can photosynthesize heaps

It died to the ground and I've had nothing from it for months. Oddly it chooses the end of summer to sprout again.

I'll post another photo once it's opened the leaf.

It's bout 2 years old now.

Does anyone else on here have one?

This is going to be one long grow log, don't they flower after like 60 years?
