Yeti101 Posted April 13, 2013 Was looking for something else and recently came across an article (attached) about different alkaloids in various Psychotria species. (I will now indulge in my favorite procrastinating technique: pillaging articles for anything of interest that is unrelated to my work or study ) I'll leave the deciphering of the scientific results to someone who rally understands them. But what even I got was that some of the species mentioned contained alkaloids that exhibited MAO-A inhibition (as well as MAO-B, and AChe). So, anyone got any Psychotria laciniata ? On a more ethnobotany related note, does anyone know of any Psychotria that might be used traditionally, in a way that would suggest MAO inhibiting activity. 1-s2.0-S003194221200489X-main.pdf 1-s2.0-S003194221200489X-main.pdf 1-s2.0-S003194221200489X-main.pdf
