Great work Myco, for a first effort, you have inspired me to try grafting also. I hope I am as lucky as you and get two lophs for my effort also.

One question, do you know when is the best time of year for grafting ? Would it still be ok to graft in Melbourne at the moment, or should I wait until spring/summer ?

Cheers,

Swiper.

I would probably wait till spring now mate you might be ok now

But I'd just wait myself just to be safe :)

ive done some grafts the last couple of weeks in vic'o weather i keep em inside in the window and place ahumidity dome over them for week..they will stay indoors now thru winter whether i get much growth i presume not but as long as the graft takes they will be ready preparation for nice spring growth after winter this is my theory...ive had 100% success grafting this time of year in victoria swiper and im in slightly colder climate then melbourne as im coastal...so one can get away with it if impatient...cheers!

I probably should add my house is heated tho cos i love my electricity power bill!

Good to know applesnail I did my last couple of grafts about 2 weeks ago it's a little warmer over here in w.a. Though

I am still grafting seedlings to Peres as they're kept in a more stable environment

But I thought I probably should stop with the larger grafts now the last one I did doesn't look so good it took fine but growth is minimal to not at all so I figured to be safe I'd stop with the larger grafts
