ID's and advice re rot

Question

Firstly just making sure this is a pach! Secondly is that orange rot and how would you treat it. Thanks :wink:

Hi Eatfoo, i dont think this is orange rot. I had this on some cuttings that were totally healthy and that developed into perfectly looking plants. I suspect this to be some kind of enzymatical process. If the orange spot doesnt show any signs of pathogenity just leave it like it is. It should root fine. bye Eg

yeah it's a tricho, probably the PC pachanoi

the orange in the cut doesn't look very good, even though it's well dried now, so it might be alright without cutting this off. It might got wet when freshly cut...

photo doesn't help, so I am not sure what I am seeing

buy some sulphur powder and then treat all your fresh cuts with it in the future

Just don't get it from the pharmacy, they overcharged me :ana:

i guse you would imagine that medicle grade sulpher would cost more, really.

Hey eatfoo at this time of year especially i use either sulphur (find @ bunnings) or cutting powder and then leave a fan blowing on the cut surfaces for days and nights about 4 , no discoloration is encountered when i do this ...

Also, a lot of people looked at me weird when I requested sulphur powder, but when I said 'flowers of sulphur' they knew exactly what I wanted :BANGHEAD2:
