Question

I don't have the best eye for identifying plants yet but this has me completely confused as I recognise particular elements but it seems like a mish-mash of many things. That said; probably something very common, I'd just like to know if anyone could help. I planted one of the seeds a month or two ago at home but nothing came of it.

Thanks in advance! :)

That is 99% not an Acacia. Look at the leaf in the 4th photo, how it's got that huge fat vein right down the middle. As far as I know, no acacias (at least of the desired disposition) have phyllodes or leaves like that. :)

But what it actually is... No idea hehehe.

What are those pod things in the 5th photo? If they are seedpods, then I don't think it is a Ceratonia (which seems to have Acacia style seed pods). But I do think it's in the Rosids (narrows down to about 70,000 plants :D).

Buckinghamia celsissima, a rainforest plant from north Queensland.
