0 Evil Genius Posted August 25, 2010 (edited) Hi Centipede, nice plants. bye Eg 1. Something between Pachanoi and Peruvianus 2. Looks Pervianoid. I have some of them too. It stays very short spined. 3. Trichocereus Candicans. 4. Isnt that some kind of Scop? 5. Bridgesii 6. Candicans maybe 7. Looks like the one in 4. Similar like a scop. 8. Bridgesii monstrose 9. Peruvianus/Cuzcoensis 10. Tr. Chilensis 11. Tr. Terscheckii 12. Pachanoi 13. Tr. Terscheckii or Tr. Werdermannianus. It looks like a werdermannianus i once had. 0 mutant Posted August 26, 2010 (edited) Wow man Wow, that's some awesome specimens. the Wendermanianus/terscheki clones are amazing. And so is cut in #13 1 is a bit scop-ish 2 is a beauty, dunno what this is 3,6, 11, & 13 are somewhat wendermanianus/terschecki-ish again, awesome specimens 2, hmm, yeah looks peruvianoid in the body, you're right EG, but where are the areoles and spines lol 12 a scop agree with EG on the rest Edited August 26, 2010 by mutant
0 The Dude Posted August 26, 2010 I think #2 Might be a Knuthianus? #13 looks amazing! I want it!
0 M S Smith Posted August 26, 2010 (edited) My thoughts.... 1) T. pachanoi – I suspect due to the bifurcation it is a monstrose/creast form. I had one that grew with alternating regular and monstrose growth upwards of two meters which I then repotted as 15 centimeter sections…and the results were, well see for yourself… 2) T. pachanoi 3) T. terscheckii 4) T. pachanoi 5) T. bridgesii 6) T. candicans/pseudocandicans? The ribs look to be a few two many and spines a bit dense for the species, but who know. I wouldn’t put it past not being a Trichocereus. 7) T. pachanoi “pachanot” or maybe even a T. scopulicola of the longer spined variety, but probably the former. 8) T. bridgesii “penis plant” 9) T. cuzcoensis 10) Pachycereus? Clearly not a Trichocereus. 11) T. terscheckii 12) T. pachanoi 13) T. terscheckii ~Michael~ PS - I'm a lumper not a splitter. 0 Pacha Posted October 28, 2010 Michael, this crested form is spectacular! You said you "had", you mean it's gone?!
0 M S Smith Posted October 29, 2010 Michael, this crested form is spectacular! You said you "had", you mean it's gone?! Well actually what I meant was that the plant was grown for years and is all is produced was an alternating monstrose and regular growth column till I had to cut it when it reach a little over 2 meters in height. Then when I planted the sections the new growth with the crest and bifurcation came about. So nope, still have it! It's a beauty for sure, but in serious need of a bigger pot. ~Michael~
