happiness is a sprouting seedling

Recommended Posts

hi, all!

thx to the white album i knew how to writte

hapiness!

torsten, you did well by sharing some of your

seeds with me. i bet you knew allready 4 month ago allready that i (strikes eye brow with index finger)would succeed.

in case that others out there have been /or are less successfull with these one, i say i

did "things" to it.

aswell i am greatfull to my late mother,

green thumbs are genetic, and she tought me to be patient with seeds requiering long periods of stratification.

her "thing" was growing ginko biloba from seed! that means chilling and a wait of up to 2 years!

on the 14.09.02 i planted those seeds and on the 15.01.03 they emerged! surely by now you

know what i am talking about.

right away as a standard measurment i snail

guarded those little beauties, nothing worse

than after having overcome dormancy to see ones plantlets ending up as snailfood...

bla, bla, bla, what am im talking about?

ilex paraguariensis!

others out there, pls tell me your mate story!

happiness can also be an emerging flower - i've waited for ages for the flower on my datura metel to open up, teased it, spoke to it, stood there in the sweltering heat of my hothouse pleading with the bugger to just get on with it....and today it finally opened. what a fucking show stopper, massive flower, petals are purple one side and cream coloured on the other, doubles(at least) and fragrant. i've had to show everyone, even dragged some guests down there by torchlight. happiness lives in the garden.

Happiness is breaking through as we speak.

It's Ms Frosty's 21st Birthday (my Brugmansia "frosty pink", about 175cm tall, sprouted from S.A.B seed about 21 months ago) frosty.jpg

She'll be doing lots of drinking and then I'm going to fertilise her (in more ways than one wink.gif

ph/ How many did you succeed in sprouting and did you have much trouble?

wd/ Where did the D.metel seed originate?

I just lost a large flower bud from my D.metel single (S.A.B). Grrrr!

lophs fruits are called chilitos (little chilis)and having many different gens certainly helps producing seeds(3 up to 4 in one red berry) lops are producing seeds and

halus even if grown in canada or europe.

so no reason to say it will not work!
