Hey all! I on the 25th i inoculated some agar dishes with a summer fruiting mushroom. After 8 days i have seen no growth (mycelial or other) on the plates. The spore prints were dated 2019 and i followed pastywires tek. They are being incubated at ~24oc Any knowledge and wisdom would be greatly appreciated!

Hi everyone, I was wondering what can one do to slow growth of trichocereus pachanoi/brdigesii/peruvianus during summer so that the plants do not get drastically etiolated when placed in front of a wall-facing windowsill? I already plan to withdraw water until the pots are bone dry, but since the temperature is going to be high overall I am not sure if this would halt the growth completely. I am going to be leaving the Oz for a month and I cannot stand the thought of my plants being stolen, therefore I will lock them in my room in front of the windowsill. With all being said, I would also be more than happy to transport my plants if someone is willing to keep an eye on them in a surely safe place and would gladly give away a good number of cuttings in return

Hey all! I'm very torn on the ethics of a bonsai - On one hand its torture to the plant but on the other it brings the individual closer to nature... I have a few Radiata pine seedlings growing at the moment and was thinking about getting into the art of Bonsai (But i want a clean conscience ) I would love to hear some opinions Thanks again!

Hi My first post as a new member so not sure if I'm posting correctly, kindly point me in the right direction if I'm not. Can anyone tell me what the growth on this Maidenii root is? Is it diseased? should I be worried?

Hey, this is my first post so please excuse me if its a mess I planted acacia seeds about a month ago, 8 obtusifolia and 4 floribunda, 2 of each of these popped up in days, not problem. Since then in the last 3 weeks i have planted an additional 15 or so floribunda. So far I've only had 2 obtusifolia germinate and are doing great. And 2 floribunda which also popped up fast after planting. The remainder seem to be laying dormant. Is it common to have this much gap between germinating acacias? Could it be the difference between planting at the beginning of summer and towards the end?

In one of Keeper Trout's books he has notes on growing trchocereus in pots. He states the following: Does anyone have experience with EM-1, and what is the scheduling of your inoculation? What Keeper Trout provides isn't quite actionable, but I would love to hear from anyone doing this.
