You might not have any luck getting one of these from seed. I think you would need a cutting. Which im still dont have.

To tell the truth i have sort of stopped looking. If one turns up, it turns up :-)

Your not wrong about the corn being a thirsty crop. I have pre bonsai that are in much smaller pots that i water less.

No cobs yet. I have found i am a couple of weeks behind inner mebourne and close to a month behind sydney in terms of plants flowering

I would never buy one of these for myself but this was given to me and i love it

Sorry for your loss fancypants,

Its nice to hear your granddad had loved ones around when he died. So many dont.

Its sound like he lived a full life and you will have a heap of fond memories to remember him by.
