there is so much variation between the flowers, leaves and seedpods from what I have compared it too google images..... but all are subtle variations,... like slight color differences or flower forms..... same with leaves and seedpods. ...... in general it looks allot to what I have found growing in the office yard. When I get home I will compare it to what I have growing from seed obtained from a much respected herb seed vendor.

Bummer that I don't like Noni's taste that much. Does pretty well here in our semi arid tropical temps climate. Needs little to no watering here and it love's our soil as well. -
there is a retreat that burries you for free if you happen to die... so no need for travel insurance there

going from winter to spring helps to induce flowering. Patchanoi & Peruvianus have never flowered in the Tropics where I am -
Stenocereus griseus,.... wouldnt say the best,... but pretty good in my opinion. fruity like dragon fruit. (slightly less but still sweet,..but then again there is allot a variety between hylocerei) Subpilocereus repandus,... not so nice in taste,... starchy taste.... nutricous. melocactus marcanthus is alright,.. bit of a fruity hint. the pitaya's (dragon fruits) are awesome. I recently ate some opuntia fruit.... not sure which one,... but they were nice too.... the seeds were much harder then the dragon fruit. Hylocerues Megal... (shit forgot the name) but that fruit is also very very nice Cant wait for my H. Polyrhizius to fruit. Still has an awefull lot to grow.

Global Chillage in the Kerkstraat! Hope it still exists. It did in 2005. Used to live very close to A'dam at least 15 years ago now (damn time flies) and walked those streets allot. 'Conscious dreams' was a smartshop I visited allot too. They too were in the Kerkstraat. (not anymore I believe) Anyway have fun man. Report back to us. ;-) -

Hi folks, Had a bucket of Cow Pooo and some spores. Rain season started and so I though, what if I simply mix the spores and some of that old cow poo together,.... dug approx 5 cm in the ground,... laid the spore poo layer in it for about 4cm and covered it with a cm of the ground I just had removed. There were allot of wood loving fungi in a pile of old twigs and branches & nice humid wet wood.... seeing that was so inspiring that I went for my spores and did the 'No tek' tek right away. So what do you guys & girls think about the chances of this succeeding???

great idea,... but I have had somewhat some succes with normal seedlings to areole grafts,...just with the plants juices stickyness. my question would be how do you get the rubber band on??maybe a thin piece of binding wire could do the trick instead,.. but still seems like a finickey fumbely process,... not to mention stressful when you have your seedlings accidently fall in the process........ or superglue..... that way you hold the top of the shaved peresk with a tweezer and just put a drop where the top meets the stem again
-
NO FERTILIZER in the germination stage!!!!!!!!! Breeds microorganisms,...and you will get algeal growth,....it's not even nesesary for good germination. Wait until after the seedlings are a month or so at least,.... or better yet,.. after they have been transplanted.

did a trade with a member here who obtained the following crosses from the US. T. Huarazensis x t. Bridgesii. T. Huarazensis x t. Ayacucho. T. Ayacucho x t. Huarazensis. T. Puquiensis x t. Huarazensis. T. Scopulicola x t. Puquiensis. T. Puquio x t. Scopulicola. T. Puquiensis x t. Ayacucho. T. Scopulicola x t. Bridgesii. Most of them germinated....... wouldnt it be interesting to get a homogenized cactus strain from all these hybrids in lets say 20 years time....... just hybridize them all until all the differences dissapear and they all start looking more or less the same.......
