  1. Found this on the firefox news headline thing, not sure how many people use it so thought ild post it.

    Isolated tribe spotted in Brazil

One of South America's few remaining uncontacted indigenous tribes has been spotted and photographed on the border between Brazil and Peru.

The Brazilian government says it took the images to prove the tribe exists and help protect its land.

The pictures, taken from an aeroplane, show red-painted tribe members brandishing bows and arrows.

More than half the world's 100 uncontacted tribes live in Brazil or Peru, Survival International says.

Stephen Corry, the director of the group - which supports tribal people around the world - said such tribes would "soon be made extinct" if their land was not protected.

    'Monumental crime'

Survival International said that although this particular group is increasing in number, others in the area are at risk from illegal logging.

The photos were taken during several flights over one of the most remote parts of the Amazon rainforest in Brazil's Acre region.

They show tribe members outside thatched huts, surrounded by the dense jungle, pointing bows and arrows up at the camera.

"We did the overflight to show their houses, to show they are there, to show they exist," the group quoted Jose Carlos dos Reis Meirelles Junior, an official in the Brazilian government's Indian affairs department, as saying.

"This is very important because there are some who doubt their existence."

He described the threats to such tribes and their land as "a monumental crime against the natural world" and "further testimony to the complete irrationality with which we, the 'civilised' ones, treat the world".

Disease is also a risk, as members of tribal groups that have been contacted in the past have died of illnesses that they have no defence against, ranging from chicken pox to the common cold.

  2. Good point T, i dident even know there were solar power 20 years ago lol ( i was 3yo :) )

just wondering, how much would a basic, modest setup cost these days? say enough to supply 500 to 1000wt of power a day? (havent checked exactly, but that seems like it would be at least about 50% of the energy used (fridge alone). or is that considered a bigger setup?.

Should do some more research on it, ah too many things to research and not enough time lol :(

Dev, i dont know anything bout cold fusion, cept from what i read from the link, and sounds like a lot of people are skeptical about it,till they get results at least

  3. Mauve, how would you recommend the ingestion of Calea? iv read different methods with different results. Tea, plain leaf smoke or extract? and iv also heard its most effective ( if not only effective) just b4 bed, that true?

    Peace

  4. Physiologically speaking, the last evolution was from 44 chromosomes to 46, and the next evolution will be 48 chromosomes (who knows what the new pair will control).

We are overdue, according to the timeline for the past chromosome incrementals.

Thats one of the things i dont understand, how are we overdue when evolution is ment to be a slow process? Altho, i have heard theorys that the evolutionary path of every creature might be pre set somewhere in its genetics, or somthing like that, which kind of makes sense, (but like i said i dont really understand it to much)

  5. Number 1 metal band in my opinion is Metallica. Kiss aint so bad eaither, at their ripe old age,Rage against the machine are always good too. iv kinda lost track of the new metal bands. i usually only listen to the oldies.

  6. Speaking of evolution, what do people think the next one will be, a physical evolution, or an evolution though technological means? iv got no idea as i dont even fully understand/believe/comprehend evolution..kinda

  7. if you can, also try to make a little cover thing for the pot plants, like put some sticks on the edges of the pot (works best if the pot is square) then use some glad wrap to go round to create like a mini greenhouse effect, and spray once or twice a day, the cover keeps alot of the humidity in so it works pretty good, specially for salvia, not sure bout kratom, but sounds like it and salvia like the same conditions, in terms on humidity anyways.

    hope that helps

    Peace

  8. yea same, biofuals just cause other problems, as weve been seeing with food prices (supposedly).

We eaither need a whole new ground breaking type of engine that uses somthing completely different, or electricity (which i have seen a few good newer, more effeciant models coming out soon).

Orrrr we can go old school, and just ride horses, or even better, bikes!

    Peace
