BEIJING: China's top water official has dismissed claims that Beijing plans to divert the Brahmaputra river that flows from Tibet into India to quench China's needs, a proposal that added to tensions between the two parched Asian giants. The proposal to harness the Yarlung Zangbo River, which becomes the Brahmaputra River in India, has drawn public criticism in India, where Chinese President Hu Jintao has been visiting. But China's Minister for Water Resources, Wang Shucheng, said the proposal was "unnecessary, unfeasible and unscientific," and had no government backing, the China Daily reported on Wednesday. "There is no need for such dramatic and unscientific projects," Wang said. Wang's comments appeared to be part of an official effort to quell Indian fears that China has designs on the river water, a volatile issue as Hu seeks to improve his country's image with its sometimes wary neighbour. "The Chinese government has no plans to build a dam on the Yarlung Zangbo River," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Jianchao said, according to the China Daily. Nah paradox, im Greek,from Peloponnese (at least my parents were, i was born in aus.) I just find it annoying that all you ever hear about China in the media is bad, they were even criticized during the earthquake they had not long ago. I donno, i like their style in which they do things also. I saw a doco ages ago about a flood they had once, and the way they all worked together (adversity always helps tho i guess) was inspiring and i gained much respect for their people, and more recently iv been delving into their ancient past, a world in unto its own. Add to that Every Chinese person iv ever met all the way back to primary school where good people. (much better then hanging around "wogs") in which for some reason i never really fit in with them. So i guess athe quick way to put it is that i respect their people, and how they have built up their nation (albeit a little too fast, hence the pollution everyone is complaining about), and more importantly, they have lifted hundreds of millions of their people out of poverty and look to do the same in Africa, a continent that has always been poverty stricken. Plus, just being kind to our future overlords Nah their cool hehe

Eh, i dont see it as a big issue, even most of the athletes dont think its much of a problem (From what iv seen in interviews).. So instead of having asia "ruled" by a big china, it could have been ruled OVER because it would have broken asia up into many more smaller and more manageable countries. same goes with tibet. well same shit, dif day. (If china doesent get its water, then india will,leaving tibby in the same spot) What about Cyprus in Greece, the Basques in spain\france, the Armenians, the kurds, the tamils? and the countless others who want a piece of land to call their home? the world is a funked up place.. I dont want to say everything the chinese are doing is good, but its pretty much what everyone else has done at one point or another in history. I just want to make it clear, as far as im concerned about salvia, the plant itself should be legal, i couldent care less and would rather online vendors dont sell 20x or 50x extracts, thats retarted. even if they kept importing salvia preparations could be kept illegal, but the plant itself is what im trying to say. Views on this can vary, and im not 100% on it as it is kind of hypocritical, but IMO, if people want it, they should HAVE to grow it, rather then being able to buy massive extracts which i think is wrong (For SD anyway.) I would just like to think we can live in a place where someone can grow a plant legally without being hindered by the stupidity of others. Hot damn, The harm reduction aspect i guess your right, there are alot more legal harmful things then illigal, one of the main reasons i mentioned it was because on the basis of the ban all they say is If we can prove its harmless health wise, then thats one down, and everyone knows that it is not addictive in any shape way or form, so thats number 2. If these can be proved supposedly beyond doubt, then legally what stance can they have for keeping it legal until they write up a new legislation to ban it? or am i being too ignorant about who and how the drug laws are taken care of? Batman has been around since like the 1930s Movies are movies. the product of the writers imagination/interpretation and opinions of the world as such. Say a hardcore conservative And a hardcore liberal made a movie/documentary each about the war on terror (or any subject), On one hand, the conservative would be pushing his/her believe system Ie. terrorists are bad and the war is a just war that must be won (insert video clip of terror attacks) While the liberal would be pushing his/her believes that the war is bollox, its all based on money and throw in some history from decades ago and of course have a few videos of injured civilians crying and covered in blood, with the sad music in the background for good measure. Im not saying propaganda isent present, but im not sure if the government had a hand in all things, or if the people making the programs/movies are just pushing their own opinions. Iv read alot about CO2 helping with marijuana growth, iv got no idea on how its administrated, dosed or what tools you can use to monitor the Co2 levels, but im sure ittle be the same for most if not all other plants. So yea, co2 does play a role in plant growth, but to what extent and how its monitored is beyond me.
