cheers planthelper, no the leaves don't get wet when I water them. After reading the posts about pests and diseases, I went and checked under the leaveswith a magnifying glass, and sure enough there were little red critters. I went with a good spray with pyrethrum and will do every 3 days until they are gone.

G'Day all. I've been searching for a while but I can't seem to find what I'm looking for. I have a L. Nepetaefolia and a Calea and they have got white spots forming on the leaves. The Nepetaefolia has some of the leaves almost covered giving them a white appearance. Could anyone give me any clues asto what this is and how to fix it. And also one more thing I have a coleus that the purple in the leaves starts dark but turns almost white. Im guessing it's a light problem but not sure. Cheers for any help you can give me.

How are you all? I was just wondering if anyone out there has an Eileen cutting they would like to sell. Unfortunately I don't have any big enough cactus to take a cutting of and trade, so cash is all I can do. If anyone has, a pm with a price would be great. Cheers

thanks heaps. I was getting a little worried about the little guys.

how are you all? I've got about 40 different cactus seedlings and loph seedlings in a humidity chamber on a heat mat. They have been in there for about a month and I was going to start getting them used to the environment by introducing more air. The catch is there are about 10 trich Validus seeds in there that are only just starting to pop up. My problem is a couple of the loph seedlings are starting to lay down. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me why they are doing this. I have a feeling it may be from being in a high humidity environment, but thats just a guess. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Can't quite remember the exact dosages, but in a land where it was legal, approx 4 or 5 dried subs, 3g of syrian rue and about a small fingernail amount of DMT (from obtusifolia). It was a very enjoyable experience. A few challenging moments, but they make them all the more worthwhile.

Goodday all. I was just wondering if it is normal for the flowering part of the Leonotis nepetaefolia to go brown after it has finished flowering? Also are there seeds in there and should I cut it off? Thanks for any help you can give me.

Thanks alice and rimbaud. I wasn't sure if it was meant to do it, as this is the first year it has flowered. Your not wrong about it being fast growing. It's the quickest grower in my collection. It even has four more spikes coming up. Oh and by the way rimbaud, the kava plant I got off you has just put out new leaves. I stripped the old ones off that were going dead, now at least shes showing signs of not minding where I put it over winter. I'm ooh so happy.

hello all. I have got a TBM and it is going a bit soft, and the longest part of the growth doesn't look as plump as it should. From reading through old posts, I thought drying it out might be the way to go. Would leaving it in the pot without water be enough to help it or should I get it out of the dirt and let the roots dry out, or am I barking up the wrong tree all together? Cheers for any advice you can offer.

Thanks for all your help. Sorry foolsbreath, I missed your thoughts. I'm on the Central Coast of NSW(halfway between Sydney and Newcastle), so it's a little cold at night, but not terribly cold. I will check the color of the roots tomorrow, but I'm glad to hear the yellow is normal. Once again thanks for all your help
-
Yeah sorry Blackdragon but I don't have a digital camera so I can't take a photo. The plant is in a 6inch pot, and the color is a bit darker, but not all that different from my others. I just took it out of the pot, but not knowing what healthy roots look like, I'm at a bit of a loss. Is it normal for the part to be under the dirt to go a yellowish color? The newest pup is the normal color a pup is and is firmer than the rest of the plant, but still a little soft. Cheers

How are you all? I was just wondering if anyones dealt with these guys lately. I wanted to know if they have much of a range of mescaline containing cacti? I was thinking about going down and checking it out, but it's a fair hike down there from the central coast to find out there are no cacti of interest. If anyone could give me an idea of their range, that would be great. Thanks
-
Good point I think AndyAmine. Over time I have read on these forums of people buying cacti from shops like Bunnings. I haven't really thought about the fungicide issues. I would also like to know what other peoples thoughts are about this.

thanks for your replies. It's a bit of a hike out there from the central coast, so it's good to hear your opinion Torston.

At the moment I am reading a great book that I just had to let you all know about if you didn't already. It's called Shantaram and is written by Gregory david Roberts. It's a fairly lengthy book, but it's hard to put down once you start. It's about the authors escape from jail and his life in India. Like I said if your interested it's a great book

Cheers for the information. It would be good if I could get a couple to shoot.

How are you all? I was given a free bag of helichrysum foetidum seeds with another purchase a while ago. Every now and then I try to germinate them, but I never seem to have any sucess. Given how small the seeds are I have been sprinkling them on slightly moist seedling mix with a bit of soil to cover them, and I have been spraying it with a spray bottle to keep soil slightly moist. Any ideas would be great thanks

Baby hawaiin woodrose and morning glories are pretty hardy plants for beginners. Mine are still going anyway.

Or you could evaporate all the alcohol away and smoke or eat the resulting resin. When I have smoked a lilly joint smeared with the resin, the lilly always works its way into the CEV. Everywhere around you there seems to be lillies. A wonderful experience in my view.

how are you all? I was just wondering if there is anywhere in australia that you can get trouts notes on san pedro and trich species. I was looking on the net and found a site that says shaman australis is the australian agent for the book, but it doesn't seem to be on the product list. I just wasn't real keen on ordering from overseas and having to pay for customs to look through it. Cheers for any help you all can give me

The Pau d arco is a very interesting product, but I would not like to have it without knowing it. The quickness it changes reality is enough to unnerve some people, nevermind lasting the trip. I have introduced a few new drugs to mates, but I let them know what they are getting into and I never let them do it from what I've got, if they're under drunk. I think its just a matter of common sense and respect towards yor mates. It's a real worry the sorts of people that are using such strong drugs.

:D Cheers for all your help. I like having something new to try. :D

How are you all? I was just wondering if you could use the same extraction technique as you would use on wormwood, (ie mix with alcohol, shake every now and then over a 24 hour period, strain and evaporate alcohol), on Nymphaea Caerulea or would I just be wasting my time and plant material. Cheers for any help you can give me.

Theres a big datura/brugs (not sure which) over the road from my parents house which always gave off a vibe that keeps me well away from it, but after a visit to the SAB nursery, I seemed to be grabbed by the brugs where you park with the pink and white flowers. It was so alluring, that I went out and found a plant and grabbed some flowers and some leaf material. I haven't tried it yet, but I figure if it talks to you, you probably should talk back.

I found milking them, spreading what they squirt and letting it dry and of course the best bit, smoking is the only method worth doing. Can't wait to get my hands on a toad this season. :D :D
