Hi there,

So i have all my lovely plants in pots on my deck, but the top of the soil always drys out very fast. In fact it dries out so much that when i water the pots again the top of the soil doesn't absorb any water, and it stays dry - unless i soak the hell out of the plants. Does any one know how i can over come this? is there some material that i can put over the top soil to increase the humidity at the top or something?

Please inform me if there is another thread about this, i tried to have a look but i could not find anything.
