  1. *Disclaimer, I am not condoning the use of plant material in an illegal way whatsoever, this discussion is for theoretical inquiry only!

Since the South American Shamans use Psychotria Viridis "Chacruna" plant for its DMT content.. to make the Ayahuasca brew, would not the leaves of an Acacia plant that contain the DMT alkaloid be just as effective when mixed with the sacred amazonian vine?

To my limited knowledge the P.Viridis contains anywhere from 0.1% - 0.6% of DMT in its leaves, while some Acacia's may contain up to 1.2% of the tryptamine in its leaf (Acacia Acuminata).

What are your thoughts on this, would like to hear some feedback out of curiosity.

Edit: Actually wouldnt any DMT containing leaf of any plant be suitable as a "Chacruna" mixture in the aya brew and have the same or similar effect as a P.Viridis Chacruna mixture?

    Cheers.

  2. Ive seen them around my area (not this season) in the South Eastern suburbs, they grow in woody areas.. I have had no luck spotting them in pine forests though, I know a very large pine forest around here and have yet to spot any subs growing in that environment.

Went out to a local spot where I know there is an active sub colony but have not seen any developments as of yet. It appears to be too dry for them at this stage, I was wondering what effect would a daily watering on one of these mycelium patches have? Any ideas?

I did get to see some other non-actives though, they were white capped and quite stocky looking things.

Zen Peddler BlueGreenie, your right in that you dont need to travel too far to find any subs, but to find a good patch.. not already harvested might be a little troublesome, and for some of us living in the outer suburbs getting into the city and finding possible colonies might take quite some time, not to mention finding a patch with some still present.

The early bird gets the worm I suppose.

  3. Im after a Catha Edulis plant past its seedling stage preferrably "mature".

I have a seedling already (narrow leaf which is growing very healthy) as bought from SAB but would like to have an already mature plant.

Please let me know what you have available and at what cost etc.

If you have any narrow-leaf or red rooted cuttings/seedlings for sale please let me know as I am intersted in those also, once again just specify which plant you have available and at what cost.

    Cheers.

  4. My understanding is that subjective perception is a very low-grade of perception due to a filtering of experience by the personality, ego and mind.. consciousness being the essence behind all of these operations. So in this context subjectivity is a conditioned perception of reality, therefore reality is not being interpreted in its true form via this type of perception.

There are supposedly levels of consciousness that grant access to view reality in its truer form, one of them being objective perception with yet a higher level that is called samadhi, this is a sanskrit term. Most of you probably already know this.

What I find shocking to some degree is that people expect other people to figure out what mind, consciousness, ego is... each of us are equipped with the tools necessary to make an investigation into our own composition (with the consciousness), there are various natural tools such as meditation, observation etc that aid us in this endevour.

We are particles of the universe capable of understanding and comprehending itself, the universe is non-intelligent? How could that be if we as particles of the universe are intelligent?

What is consciousness? We all have it right, animals have it, insects have it... how could we be using consciousness and not even understand it? Is this not purely because of ignorance?

  5. A new era, a new mankind? A new civilization? Judging by how we are faring so far.. and by past epochs.. it seems reasonable to think that there will be a downfall of modern man at some stage, what man is today paves the road to the future... its not looking too good.

But maybe just like a flower blooms and dies.. and blooms again when the season comes around again.. so will man ;)

  6. People import cocaine into Australia, but that doesn't make it legal.

Your definately right about that one mate, it must have been before the new scheduling as I remember making sure it was legal to import at the time. Things change so rapidly...

  7. Well I imported some Vanuatu-Kava from Fiji a while back into Melbourne without any problems, has something changed? I thought it was legal to import with no paper-work hassles...

  8. Thats the last thing id want.. to get a knock on the door and charged for trying to import an illegal substance.. a highly illegal one at that. It's definately not worth the hassle. Unless someone has actually consistently imported these things in and has had no trouble with either customs or quarantine after them being checked then I wont touch this with any 10foot pole.

Also it would seem rather illogical that quarantine wont inform the proper authorities about an illegal substance going through their hands. I would suspect if a gun would pass through customs somehow and quarantine would get their hands on it they would inform the proper authorities due to logic and reasoning, even if it did pass the quarantine.

  9. Hi this is my first post here :D

I have recently stumbled upon some overseas vendors selling Coca Leaf and Coca Leaf tea, I contacted them about whether or not they have sent those specific products here to Australia and whether they passed through customs, they said yes to both. Now im not entirely convinced so I was hoping to get some feedback from anyone who has either attempted to import some of this tea or even the leaf material and whether you ran into any problems with customs or not.

    Any information appreciated!
