  1. Here are a couple more pics of yesterdays finds, im interested to know if there is any difference between the gold tops and the caramel tops? Also ive found there are ones that are gold topped but bell shaped, then there are gold tops with wavy tops, then there are dark caramel tops that can be either awell.. are these different strains or just older more mature ones? Ive found tiny gold tops though....

Also, another patch I know they always grow hasnt pinned yet so... unless the conditions are right for the patch they wont come up.

  2. Be absolutely careful, a wrong I.D could be fatal... but even if the I.D is correct remember that the Subaeruginosa mushrooms contain powerful hallucinogenic properties that can completely change your perception of reality, I consider these bordering on dangerous for the psyche. Truly think twice about taking these.

  3. In the s.e region they were found, let me just say that there was at least 70 mature... plenty of pins, these were not counted. But stropharia aurantiaca was the main fungus growing in the area, to a person with not much IDing experience the P.Subaeruginosa would have been missed. I am not sure about temps necessary for fruiting but the rains must have induced the fruiting... they are definately out there.

  4. Guys its better off not even dosing these mushrooms, Chiral... I totally agree with your first post. These mushrooms will propel you somewhere dark, sinister and somewhat unwelcoming. The visions produced definately contain a warning, DO NOT TAKE THIS LIGHTLY!

These guys are potent... what is up with that? Is this fungus really that quick to evolve its defence mechanism, why does it have to be this strong?

  5. Went for a mushroom study hike and found something interesting, notice the P.subaeruginosa hiding amongst the look alikes? What are these look-alikes? Galerinas?

  6. Interesting, what if you dont want to go too deep and trip too hard, would it just be better to eat them in this case or just use less fruits in the brew?

Any idea's on the dosage when using the tea method? By dosage I mean how much is needed for threshold, low dose, medium dose, high dose etc as im assuming that the dosage will be different when compared to consuming the fresh fruit.

  7. Honestly the lemon tea is where it's at with these fruits, they come alive and fuck you up big time with the lemon, there is a very large gap or step from 10 gms upwards as opposed to 10gms n under...a very very big gap...straight to the underworld with a mind walker...try by yourself, warm dark room with soft music and lay back...honestly you will not know yourself after you allow them to be you.

    report back as necessary..

Lemon juice? Recipe available for this and tea? Im new to the whole tea and lemon thing... what is the difference between tea and just eating them? How could tea be more potent? Also are we talking about fresh mushroom tea or dried mushroom tea?

  8. I have a P.Viridis ordered from SAB a couple of weeks ago, the leaves were slightly bent and yellowing, ive been misting daily and keeping the soil moist for the most part but it seems the leaves are still yellow at the tips and seems the younger shoots are dull greenish not that deep green I see in the pics above, anyone know if this is a sign of an unhealthy plant? If so what would you recommend I do to get that green vitality back? Should I re-pot as its still in the same pot I got from SAB.

  9. There is definately a "buzz" associated with the delisse product and mouth goes pretty numb, the "buzz" is probably a little bit more intense than a regular coffee if enough is chewed. Although to be honest.. unless your doing some physical effort or at high altitude its not really much good other than making you feel restless and somewhat stimulated (for a short period), note; im referring to the chewing method here.

Im not saying coffee is better for you... all im saying is it's cheaper, easier to find, and wakes you up when you need it, coca is harder to find.. has an illegal status... expensive... the "buzz" is not far off from coffee, sure its different as it feels less murky but at what cost?

  10. What dosages are we talking about here? A person I know took around 10-13 fairly strong subs and doesnt recall any carnivals.... just strong visual distortions, with colourful closed eye visualizations. Are you guys talking about full-blown hallucinations, out of body realms or..?

  11. I put this guy in my cupboard after cutting him off the main plant, about 2 weeks later I pulled him out to re-plant and was surprised to see the tip has turned yellow and also has bent the tip in search for light! Anyone know whats going on here with this little fellow?

And here is the "Mother Plant" for reference (I cut it off the main section which is visible behind the pup):

  12. Went for a tour up a mountain near the South East, (Mt.D), here are some pics, plenty of mushrooms to study in their natural habitat but unfortunately none of the special Psilocybe variety, it would have been nice to spot these type.

I think I spotted some Oyster mushrooms, they looked like the ones you buy at the shops only smaller.

Should have taken more photos but I was busy looking around, next time ill have to be more camera busy.

I really dont think this mountain is the correct habitat for the P.Sub variety, I looked very hard... plenty of look-alikes and non-look-alikes though, anyone ever found any on this mountain??

*Edit* Went out to another spot close to the mountain the previous night, spotted a bunch of Amanita Muscaria (they look amazing) and possibly some Galerina's on a pile of wood-mulch. Too bad the camera was left at home.

  13. incognito you bring a good point... I understand where you are coming from. It is much better to understand and eliminate a problem sober rather than relying on a substance to hopefully "fix" it/them, there is much much more to gain from doing it the sober way.

About the cactus being too "soft" of an experience to gain much from it, if you truly want this plant to teach you.. you must ask for its help by telling the plant what you want it to show you, maybe in your friends case asking for the plant to reveal his problems.

You must do this with the utmost respect and faith, not halfheartedly or with doubt. Going into the experience with a preconceived notion of how the cactus will affect you wont help, going into the experience with a recreational attitude wont help either, you are going into this experience to learn something about your problems, so your attitude should be the same.

The cactus has a serious side which you will not experience unless you look for it. Your friends idea of taking a sacred plant or fungus with the idea of "scaring" him out of his downward spiral is really a flawed plan. Maybe a plan to gain Understanding of his problems will help him to integrate that understanding into his daily sober life. Fear is also a sign of ignorance, yeah you will be scared from your problems but you will also be ignorant of their true existence, completely flawed.

  14. To be honest it's not probably the case that lookalikes or dangerous/poisonous fruits have been picked, rather some smaller subs don't always seem to exhibit the clear identifying characters you need to be 100% and if in doubt it's better to sling them even if they are subs...well that's what I've found anyways, you can't go wrong with the bigger ones unless you are a real retard, but the smaller single ones that don't bruise or have that feel. People will always pick subs that haven't opened their cap properly and are runts and this is prolly where most of issues occur.

Well said, better safe than sorry even if you picked them from known sub locations.

Im still amazed at how powerful these mushrooms can be, I know people who would take them as a recreational thing... but ive always felt that the experience itself needs to be taken more seriously than merely a novelty. Going to the moon one would not venture without seriousness, he/she is exploring territory not well understood... perception of reality can radically transform, do hallucinogenic mushrooms help one unveil the deeper layers of nature? I am not sure... there are other more proven methods such as Meditation that will grant one through effort such experiences with a much clearer perception. So all im saying is that a warning is definately in order, be intelligent about how you use the fungus...

  15. The photos are inspiring to say the least, well done on this.. it has definately opened my eyes and imagination as to how hard these cactus have to struggle to survive in the wild.

I was wondering out of so many seeds how many actually sprout (in the wild)? And out of the ones that do sprout.. how many survive? Out of the ones that survive the infancy stage how many reach mature age to set their own seed?

I was thinking of scattering a bunch of seeds in my garden and let them develop without much of my input, but I could only imagine how many seeds I would need in order to have any successful results in the long-term.

  16. Welcome to the forum.

About the Salvia... have you not heard? Well actually it would depends which type of Salvia your after, if your just keen on growing the Salvia genus.. have a look at S.Splendens which you can find for $5 at SAB.

If your after S.Divinorum... well... put it this way, it would be easier to find coca leaf than that.

If you arent in Australia then you might be in luck... check with your local... did you say slab of beer? You must be in Australia, so... goodluck finding this plant!
