    ya i agree this country makes me sick just cant afford to leave it, i would rather work minimal wages in canada in a fatory then getting paid above award here to put up with our goverment.... But that being said we are the worlds 3rd most saughtafter living destination, US,NZ,AU...

    find it strange cause NZ beats us but all the kiwis come over here to make a better life 0_o

    But obviously they all are fake? more like a "blair witch" project thing?? Otherwise why hasnt there been any more follow ups on these things?

    I couldn't see anything in *The Diver* except a few heads bobbing about in the water. Maybe I need glasses.

     

    Ummmm you didnt see the man swim up and grab the diver and keep pulling him into the water over and over as he tried to board the boat.... 0_o you do need glasses rofl..

    The Soldier one is amazing in its simplicity and eeriness. The Siberia one is well made.

    These are all fiction. The director did a beautiful job of using era- and culture-specific film stock and cameras to make them look authentic. As soon as I have a free evening, I'll be sitting up late and scaring the shit out of myself....

     

    Yes good fiction, the blair witch kinda thing lol really well down, the soldier is good but cmon if it was real why didnt any reserachers go back to the beach and walk into the water at the same point... 0_o

    im there every year have been for 6 yeras now ;)

    i like to camp down the bottom near the hostels but i have gone with the caravan park up the top this year i hear they are new owners this is ther efirst mardi grass......

    i looked at mine and though.....

    "Dam i really should repot you guys in big clay pots using a good quality cactus potting mix...... and not just these shitty plastic pots the dog chewed using dirt full of clay i dug up from the back yard" .....

    Made some cutting of pere also and ended up spending the rest of the day pulling there tiny little anoying spikes out of my hands with tweezers untill i decided to use a electric hair remover 100's of little tweezers on wheel.... worked a treat.

    I agree with alice white pebbles have never effected any of my pots i have even glued them down before and had pups break threw.

    And in regards to weeding nothing is worse then having to get the tweezers out and weed around spikes!!!...

    I vote the pebbles.

    also for soil mix if anyone is planing to do it in the future maybe adding some sand to the cheap potting mix and mixing it into a soil bed would be better, where i am my dirt is basicly all clay it would be very bad for cactus one would really have to consider there dirt.

    What about a organic raised bed for cactus? maybe to rich..

    cant argue that idea...

    i was personally pissed mine where stolen but i agree taking the time to give the african community khat will make them feel welcome and comfortable and there would be no better gift. Obviously be carfull you don't want to wake up one morning and have your entire tree stripped bare of leafs.

    Also what better way to insure they are not schedualed by spreading them freely far and wide.

    very thought provoking discussion, everyones opinions are fantastic and just as valid, it seems the word shaman simply is someone who manipulates unknown forces and can be used in many ways. It is interesting how one thinks of a shaman as a helper of the comunity but like mentioned there are records of "bad/evil shamans" that do not help.

    Simply saying "shamans are councilers who manipulate unknown forces" seems to fit....

    Interesting how our routeine can be used to induce a lucid dream, i have been in a dreams before and thought hang on i dont go to school..... and then inside my dream i realise i must be dreaming for its not acctually possibe, and you spin around fast try to control it but end up waking up 90% of the time, and you get sick inside of your dream.

    Of if you look at your hands during the day and say "am i dreaming" you do it enough and you find you do it inside your dream, but you say in your dream "shit i am dreaming" and you wake up. Also those who have studied lucid dreaming will know that insdie a dream light switches dont work... there is no "light" and if you see paper in your dream or a sign, look at it twice... you will see there is no words it always changes, also a good trick is to wear a digital watch look at it all day.... you will find subconsiously you will look at your digital watch inside the dream and then you will see there is no text its all messed up, and your brain clicks shit this isnt real im in a dream... once you figure that out the hardest part is trying to stay there everything gets so strange, the vibrations change and its hard to keep yourself there inside the dream with all the shaking that is going on....

    lucid dreaming is the most powerfull thing that has ever happend to me, the single most powerful spiritual thing to ever happen in my life was waking up inside a dream, maybe if i used it for more then sexual gradification i would be more enlightend... i am pritty sheltered spiritualy....

    shamans all work with the same 'realm' they all just have different ways to acheive this higher understanding of life. they understand the non physical side of our existence and how they all resinate with each other, after all we are spiritual beings inhabiting a physical body aren't we? and if our body can be mapped out through energy pahways then changing the frequency to the dimension where our spiritual body 'exists' in the whole physical body can be reconfigured through this

    now im only a drug fucked teenager who has found hapiness within myself and come to many concepts i cant even perceive at this point in time but i am only learning more and more each day im always helping others and spread love and hapiness as much as i can where ever i go

    we are all shamans in a sense that the people who frequent these forums have a better undertsanding of life then the average joe we have power to set off a massive love bomb and flood the world with this way of looking at things

    You make good points also, i compleatly agree in regards to spiritulism and "spiritual realms" deep inside.......

    Even your examples are great i cant argue them, perfect example of how one could be a "shaman" in this culture.....

    i just like to be difficult its sick i know, im fucked in the head!! I like to add good points for arguments sake... Everyone was going to say the same thing i knew from the start, i figured i would say something different to let us all know we are alive, im just a bastard.. :P

    Also i was aproaching it from a point of view that was disregarding spiritual "stuff", i was thinking from another perspective per say, just for arguments sake, I knew that everyone here takes the spiritual factor of shamanism to heart and was just being a blantent dick, trying to unsettle you.... but yes spiritualism really does play a huge part in all healing, i do beleive.

    And my statment trying to highlight "anthoplogy" was also bullshit for anthopolgy takes into consideration religion and spiritualism to a great degree.....

    Thanks for calling me out, shamanism is much like traditonal healing but it contains a spiritual element, and alot of placebo.
