  2. Bump,

My yopo also finally produced lots of pods after about 7 or 8 years.
But i have a issue with some kind of miner beetle, little black spots on the out side on pods sometimes boring right into the seed.
    Any ideas?

  4. I wonder if there's much employment opportunities up there? I know they have a high unemployment rate, but is that because there is no work, or that a lot of dudes up there have lifestyles that contradict the act of payed work, lol?

Really need to find myself a more tolerant community to live in. There's a real hard arse culture here and I've being threatened & pushed out from every direction, lol.

They all think I'm gay because I'm brutally shy around the chicks, don't eat meat, hate football and couldn't careless about loud engines, lol. Doesn't worry me, I go out of my way to make think I am, just because I love being under there skin.

Now there all accusing me of getting on the meth everyday at work, purely to show them up and steal there jobs 'obviously'. Because how else could someone possibly work that hard day in day out. lol, never even touched the crap, a few sugar free red bulls an angry eminem song and a mad bipolar disorder is my only secret, gooses. But an unexplained machine malfunction and a few broken toes later (it was meant to be a crashed foot) I'm starting to get a little worried.

Yep, think I might seriously be heading up to NENSW to live this winter, work or no work.

Piles of work... Very easy to get work in bigger citys around the small northen NSW villages. ie: lismore is great for work and only 20min from nimbin.

  5. 365nm is your basic forensics blacklight for fluorescing the majority of items/dyes. The light is invisible to most, except apparently kids. One photo I was looking at recently shows a mushroom with bright partial cap fluorescence at what i would expect would be 380-400nm, judging by the strong violet light. This is good in that these led lights are cheap & easy to get compared to high powered 365nm leds, negative is the violet light Potentially mask glow & and are visible.

With the red light, it's good that green grass & leaves absorbs it so if using a metal torch that hides the reflector it's relatively stealth. My wildlife also vastly enjoys red light more, will often freeze or run away with white light.

Darklight as I understand it the UV for fluorescence should all be contained withiin UVA and so not such a risk to eye, your purpose prob necessitates using 260nm light which is very dangerous.

Within waking distance all farms are hotspots so farmers have grown to be hostile & call police..Another farmer was talking to me about 'drug addict' mushroom pickers hitting his milk cows. The cows have a reflex of barging you when near so I could see how an idiot might slap a cow defending it'self or young on own property..

I've already had the experience of farmer on his verandah with rifle yelling at me. I did not have to be convinced to start walking. This was in Nimbin... talk about hotspots.

DizzyAnarchist I just got to get out away from town, where farmers are not used to sometimes multiple groups of people treading his field at once. They are just sick of it.

Farmer in Nimbin waving a rifle at you from front pourch??

You must of been right down the back of croftons road lol..........

Question why are you hunting mushies at night in Nimbin, the perfect time is 3pm in afternoon down that way imho.

  6. LOL. Nice to meet you too Alice

    Yep thats me, lurker extraordinaire!

I check back fairly often, but im not too big on posting, but this community has been a great source of information over the years its often been really helpful. The lessons I learned here have kept me safe all these years, especially through my more adventurous times.

Sometimes I get a feeling, hey havent checked SAB for a while, so I log in and Bam. Right there, brand new topic with the answers I was looking for, or discussing ideas I was having, or plants id been thinking about in a trade.

love this place. Its been amazing to watch it grow, even if I stick to the fringes.

im likley to get back into the forum on a more regular basis. The move to qld will finally give me some space out of town, only an acre, but its a start. But its more about lifestyle change, and getting back to the things that are important. Ive spent too long living in places I wasnt happy, doing jobs I dont like, just so I can pay the bills and repeat the process.

Bullit, the stick em in the ute and drive is the current plan. Just wondering whati can expect if I hit quarantine inspections, and how likley the inspectons are?

also, if anyone has been through quarantine inspectin, just how thorough are they? If ive got a ute load of crap packed up, are they going to want me to unpack it all and open every container for them to inspect, or would it just be the box their sniffer dog identified? At least im assuming that they have sniffer dogs looking for plants.

I drive interstate every week, Brisbane to Nimbin and the quaranteen place is never open, actaully it was only open once and they only where calling threw large trucks, and by every week i mean everyweek for years.

Take the tourist rout i do...... Only ever been pulled over once and that was on the same day as mardi grass outside of nimbin town funny story cause the sawp turned up negative and i was stoned as fuck.... just goes to show.

  7. Hey,

Im trying to get a copy of a article but im not paying 35$ for it and my uni logins to acess journals have long run out....
Anyway if someone can just login and grab this artcile and share it here, it would be much appreciated.

Bascily turns out Sida Acuta is active against lethal effect of Bothrops atrox venom....

Anyway the article i would like to get if anyone can login and download for free is:

    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10940590

    http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S037887419900197X

    thanks,
    -v

    Another idea:

We could always all chuck in for a membership we could split it by 10 or 20 and then i can code a custom firefox addon that will use a proxy to access the journals threw,
That way all 10 or 20 of us who want access can share the price and it works like its just one of us that has the account.... if you get what im saying... the tech people will, anyway let me know if you want me to arrange said idea.

  8. lol its been a while for me to post, and haha i shouldnt really bump this old old thread but...........

  9. I havn't looked into this for a while, but I remember that the catch was that companies send statements, not bills. Bills can be A4V, statements, not so much

*ETA* For the price of a stamp, you can always send a letter to the company stating that your accountant does not recognise statements, and could they please issue a bill for the account. No harm in asking

yes thats the catch you have to request a bill. Your idea is brillant to say that!!!
