here in nz on our version of ebay theres a t.peruvianus sold that resembles your rosie plants, and it fetches at auction between $3 and $5 nzdollors per cm consistently($2.30-$3.80 aus dollors).
i couldnt be bothered selling any of my own trichs for any less than $1 per cm ,it just doesnt seem worth it.
standard pachanoi seems to go for $1 per cm here and any thing else is more like $2 per cm.

Do obregonias need two to 'mate' and give seeds ?
Great plants, live vandezianus too
hi mutant,im not sure i dont know much about any of these cactus varietys,do you have any obregoina denegrii in greece? i have some smaller grade ones i could try sending you sometime since your country has such loosly enforced laws on that kind of thing.
i had ago at swapping the pollen between the flowering t.valdezianus and the t.schmiedickeanus yesterday, anyone know if that might work?

hellonasty, this is the best pic i could get of the spination with my crappy camera.on average it has about 16spines per areole.,which i think is a fair few more than the spach and Borzicactus crest pics show.
thanks kadakuda, ill have to try that out next summer,so do you mean just a tiny piece with one areole on it?
cheers

blowng,no i dint grow them from seed myself,i cant cant seem to settle with one of any cactus though, even two doesnt seem like quite enough
hellonasty,i believe that that astro hybrid is a asteria x capricorne.i have them in 5,6,7 & 8 ribbed forms, flocked and flockless, some showing more asterias some showing more caricorne.
yeah its either an addiction or greed but its always good to have spares for trades etc
-
thanks for the links man,i had a closer look at the spination on mine and they dont quite match either of those two crests.
i cant find pics of any t.strigosus plants on the net anywhere, mine came from a nursery thats probably new zealands biggest cactus nursery,so i think its pretty safe to take their word for now on the i.d.
cheers

hi, i think the black pox things are pretty common for everyones tbms? i find the best thing is to just leave them and not pick at them, then they just go away without leaving scabs.

thats cool your lucky then! since theres a good chance of things arriving to you, maybe us new zealand members should send you some stuff sometime.

hi mutant, ive noticed from some of your threads that you have had quite a few aussie clones sent to your part of the world over the years, just wondering what process you have had to go through,or is there no strict rules concerning the importation of plants to where you live?
cheers

i have yet to have any unpleasant side effects from using hbwr seeds whatsoever, which surprises me after reading all the storys of others experiences.i suggest removing not just the really furry stuff but all the brown coating completly aswell.then powdering with a mortar and pestal and soaking in a glass of water with the juice of half a lemon for 1 hour.then discard the powder/silt at the bottom of the glass and drink the water.

you get what you pay for though aye..the site has a curency convertor, these pants are made of 12oz canvas.works out at less than $150 aus, free shipping worldwide too.the take about a year of wearing them to break in and soften up, and then theyre like a stiff denim.

thanks for the comments and i.d comformation.
at the risk of being shot for not researching first...if one was to pick these and just dry them in a cardboard box for a few months until suffuicient research has been done on how to them would that be the way to go?
cheers
