  5. hi guys, ive got some of these dugouts with one hitters for sale for $18 aussie total price shipped.(to aussie that is). they are a pocket size box with compartments for a spring loaded bat (cigarette-painted one hitter) and herb (tobacco, catnip, clove, etc...). Very popular around the world, although they are quite rare down under. This device is very economical and convenient, as it saves herb and has everything you need in one place. The cigarette painted one hitter is also very incognito! san p

    Achocha

info and pic taken fron a nz online auction site... Achocha I think it's Cyclanthera pedata Also known as Caigua, Achocha is an unusual vegetable from South America, once popular with the Incas, that is very easy to grow. It is highly productive, pretty to grow, and can be used raw in salads when small, a bit like a cucumber. Lower LDL cholesterol levels! Apparently they taste a bit like sweet peppers when fried. A long tendrilly vine which makes a pretty screen over a fence or gazebo, and attracts hoverflies which prey on aphids. Very valuable plant to grow! Read what Wikipedia has to say about it's medicinal uses: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Achocha For growing instructions visit: http://www.howtodothings.com/home-garden/how-to-grow-achocha

    Black rot & Trichocerei

hi,just throwing up another theory after recently getting some of this on a pachanoi cutting. when it arrived it showed no signs of having "black rot",but it had been spiked by a bridgesii 's spines which was packaged along side it.the spines on this bridgesii have another unexpained accurance people here get on there cactus, blackening of the spines for some unknown reason.the black rot on the pachanoi has only appeared from these pin holes made by the blackend bridgsii spines.

    The Tree in Eden

theres a book called-the secret life of plants.which deals with this kind of thing The Secret Life of Plants: Astounding discoveries about the physical, emotional and spiritual relations between plants and man. A plant attached to a lie-dector reacted violently when an expert thought about burning one of its leaves. A plant repeatedly identified with a sweep of the needle one of six volunteers secretly chosen to 'murder' another near-by plant.
  22. these pics and the info are borrowed from an online auction site Devil's Hand Tree,' Monkey's Hand Tree, Mexican Hand Tree, Chiranthodendron pentadactylon Once known from a single sacred specimen growing in the Valley of Toluca in Mexico, it was revered by the Aztecs and used spiritually and medicinally. Similar to an American Gingko, this plant was later found growing wild in the mountains of the Mexico-Guatemala border, but much of the mystique surrounding this plant remains very rare. It's names, both common and Latin, refer to the excerted stamens emerging from the flower like a clawed hand. Difficult-to-germinate seeds mean that this plant is still rare in cultivation. The tree can handle mild frosts. heres a link to a little more info,i havnt found any info regarding its ethno use yet. http://www.strangewonderfulthings.com/170.htm
