abit off topic but here in nz on our version of ebay,a seller was selling a unknown trichocereus monstrose variety grown from seed, which was sourced from a monstrose tricho mother plant.i think they said around half of the germinated seeds grew into monstroses and the other half normal.

i watched an episode of this on tv late last night, was pretty cool.a couple of ayahuasca sessions went down aswell as a trip into the jungle to meet a real shaman. anyone else seen the series?

yeah it was two british doctors(identical twin brothers) one of them was open to trying things and the other was a sceptic.he really enjoyed the visions, the tribe were singing icaros and along with the sounds of the insects humming it was buzzing him out,he claimed came up with all sorts of great ideas, but couldnt remember any of them by the morning
-
yep your right it looks to be a cutting, and with the root system being so small it couldnt have be growing on its own for long. it definitly looks like 2 monstrose branchs are forming on the left,so over all a great score!

hi incog,i dont remember there being any visable scale on the plant, what i meant in regards to its appearance was that it has four or more different forms on the one plant and has the "pupaholic" syndrome aswell.
-
i know these arnt the clearest pics, but do you think this plants appearance could be from "witches broom" ? all i know is that its a cereus monstrose but ive yet to see any like it anyhere else.
