Ive seen a new type of Japanese osteopathic massage called Yumeiho, where they pretty much crack every bone in your body. If you havent seen it check it out on youtube. I get the warm and fuzzies just watching it. I dont know, there is just something about being popped and cracked like a bit of disused bubble wrap that sends a tingle up my spine. I would love to give it a go but cant find anyone locally that practices this form of Japanese spinal tourture. Does anyone know if there is anyone who does it on the goldie or nnsw? No whips, chains or gimp balls please,....................well ok, maybe a little bit of chain action. Kidding!!

It was just a casual conversation about the laws and I guess he was just wondering if there was anywhere in Oz you could freely grow it as part of a collection. He tends to travel a bit and has lived in quite a few states and countries( we call him the wanderer) and is looking to settle down somewhere. I think he had a few plants before he went overseas and is probably looking to start up a collection again and wanted to know if and where he could grow them.

Just a heads up for anyone trading Datura or Brugmansia seeds /cuttings in the seed/plant exchange and sending to Tasmania. I stupidly sent some seeds away last week before checking local quarantine laws. Big mistake. The person i sent them to never got them so i checked the DPI website and found this in relation to Datura- 4. Importation of declared weed: (1) A person must not import or allow to be imported into Tasmania any datura. It is an offence against section 57(1) of the Act to fail to comply with this prohibition. A person found committing that offence may incur an infringement fine of 4 penalty units. A person convicted in court of that offence may be liable to a fine not exceeding 50 penalty units. The Secretary may exempt a person from this prohibition under section 60 of the Act. Actions to assist compliance in this matter could include but are not limited to the following: Persons travelling to Tasmania, in particular from areas infested with datura, such as many parts of mainland Australia, should conduct thorough searches for the presence of the plant and apply appropriate hygiene measures, such as clothing, vehicle, machinery and baggage inspection and cleaning. Questions or concerns about weed hygiene issues should be directed to Quarantine Tasmania personnel before or directly upon disembarkation in Tasmania. Persons importing ornamental plants to Tasmania should ensure their stock does not include datura. Persons importing items to Tasmania that may contain datura (e.g. bird seed) should have these checked for the presence of the plant. This can be arranged through Quarantine Tasmania. It was a foolish mistake on my behalf so i just wanted to bring it up so no one makes the same error i did. This is more for the newer members as im sure most of the more experienced traders and growers already now about these laws.

Hi everyone, My Bhut jolokia chilli plant has fruited again and i have some seeds I'd like to give away. All i ask is that if you received seeds from my last chilli give away that you let someone else have a go this time. I will endeavour to get seeds out ASAP. Thanks Gollum P.S. If anyone has any other varieties of chilli seed they would like to swap for a bag of Bhut seed i would be stoked.

Waterboy, looks like you wash the roots under some water to clean? I always wondered whether i might be doing any damage to roots while rinsing and repotting. I'd like to hear your root cleaning/ repotting procedure if you dont mind, and maybe any tips or recommendations. You have some nice healthy looking Lophs there and its always interesting to hear how other loph enthusiasts go about this. Oh and ive had some pretty good germination rates on the seeds i bought from you. Expect another order soon! cheers

Not blaming you man I know the rules. Just wish i was overseas at this point in time. Hope the auction goes well.

Quote "6. I will NOT send to Australia and not to WA or Tas (don't blame me)." Quote. Unfortunately this excludes me and most of the members here. Shame, you have some great seeds on offer. Hope some over seas members snap these up quick.

Lemon myrtle( Backhousia citriodora) comes to mind as a little money maker. Dried leaf sell for around $35 a kilo and plants arent cheap either. If you could get a little myrtle farm happening the aromatherapists would be busting down your door i reckon. -
Nice. I like your little trich triangle. Coleus look good too.
