Went for a look around my usual spot yest and still nothing what gives? I did happen to see a notice pinned to a tree 'poison has been sprayed : type blackberry' does anyone know if this would affect my yields for this winter? the date on it was 1 month ago. Nice pics to folks.

I too was looking into food dehydrators but was concerned about the high temperatures involved. As we know, the active ingredients in Psilocybes can be destroyed above 30 Deg'Celsius ( so i have read ???). What is the temperature variation of these dehydrators, min/max ? I have used rice as a desiccant but microwaved it for a few minutes and it becomes a moister magnet.(IME). @ tyler83durden, Does the contents of the bag smell like mould or musty ?

Edit; For future references, it appears that i have been misled with drying temps.

Yeah they smell really musty and mouldy he has taken some pics of them. When he laid them out it was almost like they were smoking with all the dust or what ever it is commin off them. He has also taken some shots next to a non-dusty batch for comparison reasons (the second and last photo).

Any thoughts on what he could do with them would great I would prefer no to throw them as the season is almost done here. Maybe he could grind em up or wash em or something

What colour is the dust you are talking about? It could possibly just be spores that have dropped from the mushrooms if they were picked fresh and thrown straight into the zip lock bags.

And like blowng has said, using disccant is handy for keeping things dry. You can pick up little desiccant containers (eg. from eBay) that you just put in the oven when it has absorbed all the moisture and it will be usable again when its finished drying out.

Here is the one I got a year or so ago. (50c coin for size reference) You can put it in a container and will help make everything moisture free (and even crispy).

Its a grey'ish colour almost like someone has scooped dry soil and poured it all over them. They were pre-dried before being placed into the bag and if it was spores it would seem strange that this was the only bag in which this has occured my only concern is that it may be a mould of some sort but by them being dry I find this strange. There is ab alful lot in the bag and would be shame to throw them out if un-cessary.

I will try and load some pics in time.

Hi,

A friend of a friend got quite a big haul over the season and managed to dry quite a few in some zip lock bags. However after a month or so one of the bags appears to be full of dust? Unlike the rest of the bags. Is it mould? and is it still ok to consume the little suckers?

I feel he could be in for a loss?

Hey does anyone know If I put different types of colonized cakes in a terrerium (say just for example purpose oyster, Ink caps and Psilocybe)

Yeah a friend of mine compared it to the same having the same effects as 'X' if not better but he has been known to crank the lever a bit harder than expected so I thought I would check it out hence the thread. Grow your own man ...it's piss easy to grow and there are from memory 3 variety's red leaf being the strongest I think.

Hey has anyone tried Khat before?

I know chewing on the leaves is big in the middle east but apparently its legal here and can come in a powder form.

Customs only allows 5kg in a year but if you have your own license for personal use you can bring some in.

Yeah I am just starting out as well man and went to a national park on sat for a search and had no idea what I was looking for really for except 'blue bruising' stems. So I took everything I could grab however...after mixing them up in a shopping bag for a few hours I got home and the thought of consuming any of them was scary so I have ordered a field guide this one is ment to be the best but thier are cheaper ones around.

#3rd pic looks like subs but prints are necessary..i wouldn't be touching any of the others ...I'm no expert so please do not eat anything it's not worth it ok...get yourself a field guide for mushrooms ...I'm wanting one as well so we can all become safer mycologists...

What are prints? sorry new at this. and do you know were I can get a field guide from?

damn straight illegal to grow, as has been said!
and damm straight against forum rules to post (self) incriminating posts.

anyway, i pondered for quite a while what to do with this thread,

and i don't want to close it, but aswell i get tierd of saying don't selfincriminate and don't promote illegal things.

the right thing would be, for all the people in this thread who posted in a style which is against forum rules to change the wording of your posts., but i guess this will not happen, and neither will i re writte your posts so they are acceptable.

i know that poppies can be grown very well in pot's,

and i know they can be tricky to transplant, but it's not impossible to transplant them.

oh yeah and unless your opium tolerance is high, a single, big and healthy poppy plant can produce enough raw opium for a single experimental dose.

Alright sorry bout that planthelper again didnt realise they were illegal to grow only to extract thy yeild. I guess my pop doesnt know this either as his garden is rife with poppies. Anyway thank for your input and will watch my woirding next time.

Show Rules and Schedule (Cont) 9. Section Eligibility. Years of membership for Entry to Show Sections is determined by

subtracting your joining year from the current year. Any member who would otherwise be entitled to enter plants in the Novice sections but who wins the annual Trophy (in

2007 or subsequently) shall, thereafter, only be entitled to enter competition plants in the Open and All Comers Sections.

10. Class Eligibility. Please ensure that your plant species is placed in the correct class. Incorrectly placed plants will be marked "Not as Schedule", and not judged. If in any

doubt, please ask. 11. Competitor Number. Inside the main entrance will be a Competitor Registration Sheet.

The sequential number on this list, allocated to your name (in the case of previous exhibitors), or the next available number (in the case of first-time exhibitors) against

which you enter your name, is your Competitor Number for the Show. 12. Placing Plants. On the benches you will find books of tickets. Write your Competitor

Number on each part of the ticket, one ticket for each plant that you place in that Section. The ticket must be taped to the pot. If you wish to enter the Competitors’

raffle, place the ticket stub in the raffle box. Under no circumstances may plants be removed from the benches prior to the scheduled closing time of the Show. Any plants

not claimed at the end of the Show shall become the property of the Society and may be disposed of for the benefit of the Society.

The Competitors’ raffle will be drawn in the afternoon. The more plants you enter, the

greater your chance of winning.

Show Rules and Schedule

The sections are: Non-Competitive, Junior, Novice Cactus, Novice Succulent, Open Cactus, Open Succulent, and All Comers.

Opuntia, other than Tephrocactus, are not allowed on the Show Benches.

1. There are no entry forms or fees. 2.

You may enter as many plants as you wish in any section or class, (provided that you are eligible).

3. You must be a Financial Member of the Society, and have owned the exhibits for at

least three months prior to the Show. 4.

Please ensure that your plants are pest and disease free prior to placing them on the Show Benches.

5. Please Do Not Water your plants less than 24 hours before placing them on the

Show Benches. 6.

The Show Secretary has the discretion to reject exhibits considered undesirable. 7.

All entries must be staged prior to 8.45am Saturday morning. 8.

Members proposing to sell plants at the Show must enter at least 10 show-quality plants in the Show. Failure to do so disentitles that member from selling at that

Show.
