  1. Seth, this community, like the nation at large, has it's fair share of welfare scabs who feel entitled to a piece of the pie, while disparaging the very government that facilitates their free money.

I know... I remember a few threads throughout the years...

I suppose, unless a person has travelled, they only have what they know as a point of reference. (Reading about it doesn't quite have the same impact)

Health care, unemployment benefits, pensions... These things don't even occur in se Asia. Do you guys understand how lucky you are? That tax payers support you? That you live in a country where it's even possible to get hand outs? Think Australia is worse off than nz? Open your perception to encompass global issues... Then you will realise how lucky you really are...

Makes me laugh when people get upset because having a job impacts on them having fun, when others are so grateful just to be given the opportunity of employment...

"Where's the opportunity to enjoy life"? Oh dear.......

  2. Sorry guys, but these a prime examples of first world problems...

Complaining about how hard it is to get free money...

These whines are why developing nations look upon us with contempt.

I don't mean to offend any posters, just a different set of eyes...

  3. If the QLD plant is anything like the Cooranbong plant, then they would have been like a box full of hamsters crawling over the top of each other.

Cooranbong is loaded with inbred half wits. If it has a hole and a heartbeat someone in Cooranbong will fuck it, even if it is their own sibling.

    .

    :)

Sounds exactly the same... Everyone was fucking everyone. Most of them were married and had kids. And yes, because of their charitable nature, they employed a lot of people who would otherwise be unemployable.. Base urges proliferated.. I remember one woman who was openly fucking at least 3 workers I know of, while her husband worked the same shift. All good, god fearing lambs. There was one instance that alarmed me. It involved a senior member sexting a young (and at the time barely legal) girl, who was a second generation worker.. This older guy held her when she was born.. This girl was damaged goods. Mother murdered while young, brought up within the church.. All the time sought acceptance, and when she started blossoming, realised men started to look at her differently.. Poor girl, not a chance... So this guy would tell her he was jacking off to the thought of her, and how his fat wife refused to suck his cock, and wished that this girl would alleviate his suffering.. Same girl had a female senior member tell her that a pearl necklace was one of the greatest gifts you can give a man..There was more and worse..

It was a weird culture, everyone knew who was having affairs, but all turned a blind eye and justified it to themselves in a way only Christians can..

One particular character was open about his attraction to shemales. Little guy, all of three teeth in his head. (Before negative opinions are formed, this guy was a good friend, and would give anyone the shirt off his back,) hung like a donkey, he had no problem showing people pics of his package... He had the most impressive collection of porn I have ever seen.. Walls of it..

I used to hook him up occasionally, and I remember once going to his place where he showed me the end product of his latest liaison, a mirror hung on the wall covered in dried semen.. I had to giggle when he says, "now that's art!".. This guy was out there sexually, and being no stranger to the world of weird sex, I used to talk with him about all sorts of things.. I asked him when was the first time he realised he had urges that we're a little 'different'.. He said " oh when I was about 10 and fucked my first poddy calf"

I had to laugh.... His FIRST poddy calf....

I could go on... But in all seriousness, they cared so much about the product... There was one instance where they discovered a possible contamination, not actual, but possible. They shut down the suspected area at great cost.. Spent ungodly amounts of money just to be sure the possibility was eliminated... Most companies would wait until there was a problem, then fix it...

Sanitarium care about the people who ate their product.. I was always impressed by that fact..

And it's true about the tax exemption status... Sanitarium have never borrowed money from a bank either..

All the weird shit aside, they are a good company...

Well, I would give my children weet-bix without a second thought..

  4. An Aussie, a Ranger and now a Bible Basher if you keep eating weet-bix.

The Sanitarium company is owned by the Seventh-Day Adventists, one of the world's four major christian cults.

true... They get paid to pray....

All that crazy shit that went down there was an extension of the religious aspects...

    Lots of weird sexual shit....

  5. it's not as readily absorbed as elemental iron in plants etc. and besides, i don't want to eat iron filings. but hey if your fine with eating small shards of metal every morning be my guest.

sorry but this is incorrect... They are in no way shards.. The iron is food grade and it is a powder...

I used to be a cook at sanitarium. I was the guy who added all the vitamins... If you ate weet bix between 2005 and 2007 in qld, i made them...

Of all the places i worked, they actually cared about the product...

All sorts of other crazy shit happened there though.. But nothing that ever comromised the product...

  6. Hello everyone,

Yet another Acacia ID. Certainly not my forte but am trying to learn more.. Hopefully some of the great minds on here can help.. Found here:

    Latitude - 12°15'59.21"N

    Longitude- 109°12'11.73"E

If you punch that into Google Earth, It is the grove of trees lining the road next to the beach.. Salty air..

My uneducated eyes see a possible A. mangium, but the phyllode looks a little narrow.. The seed pods look the same though..

I'm very sorry for the terrible pics.. My phone wouldn't do as it's told! Hopefully good enough for an ID..

    Thanks in advance...

  7. I just made a reservation for the Studio Apartment at the Greenhouse effect. Thanks again sethmopod.

As I will probably be pretty bored whilst I am there I will post heaps of pics for you guys.

Nice.. It's right in the middle of all the action so you will have fun..

Man, If you can manage to find yourself bored in Amsterdam,, There's something wrong with you!lol :P:wink:

But bring the pics on... love that place..

  8. I can only offer advice on the place I stayed.. the Greenhouse Effect on Warmoesstraat st. Right in the middle of the red light district.. Weed friendly

    http://www.greenhous...t.nl/wordpress/

The Greenhouse effect coffeeshop being right next door offering a small but nice selection of weed.. The greenhouse special was a very nice stone. Although you dont plan on partaking..Really nice people too.. As most peeps are in Amsterdam..

They have themed rooms that are pretty cool..I stayed in the Arabian nights room.. But as Mickodog said, finding a room for under $100 will be hard. Although the GH effect does have a studio apartment for 85 euro..

Not sure if the $300 judges pass is worth it if you dont smoke.. Even though, I think the price doesn't include any weed.

Have fun mate.. I think Amsterdam is one of the best places on Earth!

  9. Thoung is keen to come over and make me pho to have for brekkie every morning. I'm getting real tempted to seal the deal ;)

Hope ur well over there sethomopod :) say hi to the fam, duan and ha for me :) u should speak to John at the buize cruise bout bringing back some bundy when u return there from aus this mango season, he sounded desperate.

Thoung and I went to another mad seafood place on longbeach. Rivaled the one at cam duk! Thoung orded but anyways we get this huge fuck off fish that I'm wondering how the hell me and this 40kg max Vietnamese will devour. They brought it to us BBQ'd, I was pretty full with crab, and thoung basically smashed the lot. I swear to god she ate her own weight I. Food that day. No idea how she did it.

Old mates rib burgers are pretty fit but I guess not viet food.

Haha! I'm sure you are ready to seal the deal with Thoung.. She's such a nice girl too... you wouldn't be doing bad by holding onto her... but remember, as we've discussed before at length, keep your eyes open.. take things super slow..

yeah mate, the fams and I are doing well, Fantastic being with the boys again after the honeymoon.. (will update my thread soon)

Doan and Ha were a little dirty the karaoke night didn't eventuate, but they got over it pretty quick.. I think they plan to "kill" you next time you're here..

I will keep those bottles of Chivas for when you come back, and we'll have it large!!!

lol... not sure about helping out ol' John..Dont think I can support Bundy Rum.. derelicts piss it is... (no offence to bundy drinkers.... well, maybe just a little  )

And I'm starting to use my duty free to buy incredibly expensive whiskys to drink with my boys when they grow up..

Just bought a Chivas brothers Royal Salute 100 cask selection. will be lovely in 14 or 15 years.. retails at $480, Duty free for $215. yummmm :drool2:

I'll have a chat with him though.. Maybe my wife can help as she usually only buys one bottle at a time..

He's also a top bloke for a seppo.. so I daresay we'll work something out for him..

Yeah, Long beach (Bai Dai) is fokken awesome for fresh seafood, you can watch the little round boats come to shore with recently caught goodies, then they start bargaining with the restaurant owners.. fun to watch..

I've had many an awesome feed there, Thats where my fave dish of grouper with lemongrass and chilli is from... gotten so drunk I pass out on a hammock to the sounds of waves breaking.. beautiful place..

yeah, even though it's not Viet, old mates ribs and rib burgers are outta this fuckin world! that homemade bbq sauce is the best I've tasted..

He's hit me up to find a bottling machine and receptacles to bottle and sell it!! Ha.. piece a piss!! I'd love to do it!

We were happily surprised that you can drink the town water in just about every city and not get sick. It tastes better than Sydney water.

 Crazy lucky times! The locals dont even drink tap water!!! none.... they all drink from the big 20L bottles of drinking water (55c)

i had a lay over in vietnam for only 1 day in 1992.

the meat baguette and a cold beer was pretty much heaven.

Banh Mi? is that the name.........all i could hear was bang me.

yep, it's Banh Mi. Pho and Banh Mi are two staple Viet breakfasts.. really nice on those french influenced baguettes..

  10. I think of you every time I eat pho nito! And would be up on the list for my favourite dishes

One of my faves is steamed grouper with lemongrass and chilli.. The freshest of fish.. cooked to perfection.. with a knockout flavour hit!

Lau Bo (beef hotpot) is also fantastic.. And just like pho, each restaurant has their own broth recipe.. And when you find a good one...... wow.....

Would love to hear how you go making it.. I dont think it would be too easy to make a good broth without some local knowledge.. also, sourcing the right vegies would be hard.. keep us posted..

  11. hi all!

Well, i've destroyed my lungs in amsterdam!, i will post in more detail soon.. And a few pics... Didn't take too many in the coffeeshops as it didn't feel like the done thing...

    Tried many many strains..

BF, sorry, i didn't stay at the green house, i stayed at the greenhouse effect... Very cool tho...

Saw a Stanley Kubrick exhibition, (1st ever) original props from A Clockwork Orange, and others... Blew my mind!!

In Vienna now... Saw a William S Burroughs exhibition today... (huge fan I am, still reeling!)

saw original cut ups, and shot gun paintings...

Then went to where Mozart lived... Looked out windows he did, walked on cobblestone roads he did... Very moving...

    Will post pics soon...

All this culture is blowing my little aussie mind.... I wish we had all this history!

  12. thanks for all the advice guys!

Well, after flying for 15hrs, we made it,

got into the hotel around 12:30am, and the guy was kind enough to remind me the coffeeshops all close at 1,

so I'd better be quick if I want weed... I thought it would be surreal to buy weed over a counter, but it just felt right...

Got a couple of grams of the greenhouse special... Oh so fruity! Very nice indeed!...

Bloody jetlag has me though, i'm up writing this after only 4 hrs sleep!

    Will post pics soon....
