  1. interesting topic really. look at how the renaissance painters made their art so much more realistic than it had been previously... but they didn't have cameras!

Although they didn't have cameras in the modern day sense, there is a fair amount of evidence that they used similar technology by using a lense, light and dark to project an image (in reverse) onto say a canvas. This may explain the sudden realism that occurred :)

  2. My family have told me that they've caught me sitting upright in bed and sounding like I'm speaking in tongues. I tried to record myself but all I got after weeks of recording was silence and two curses :s

  3. Yeah Ballzac I was lucky to get just a whack to the hand. The vids on the news were insane. Those two girl that looked like they had been whipped. Just crazy. There was an incredible storm a few years ago in Canberra. It practically shut down the entire city. That is the only storm in memory that outdoes today.

Damn just checked out your link. Incredible.

  4. Some got to the size of golf balls in our area, I thought the windows were going to smash in. Apparently they were like tennis balls in the city. Roads looking like rivers and the like.

Yeah it was very energizing and exciting until I inspected my plants after the damage (grrrrrrr). I expect they'll recover though.

    Love storms :)

  5. Any Melbournians catch the storm today? Post pics if you got em eh?

A large number of my lophs, a couple of my baby trichs and even the opuntia were struck, split and royally fucked up :( Apart from that, in the safety of my house it was awesome to watch.

  6. Yours may be. Mine doesn't seem to have the lumpish (can't think of the right word) growth on the larger ones but rather thinner ridges. I'll post some pics up of the larger ones.
