Good point Hunab, it was funny, but not as funny as Family Guy. Is it just me or does it just keep getting better and better? Will they quit at the height of hilarity? Or milk it long after they've exhausted every storyline? Will we see series 15? Or will it go down in history as even funnier than the simpsons? Will it be like Star Wars, laid to rest as a classic, only to be pulled from the grave, mutilated and regurgitated as the heinous mess that is the new movies?

Hey just had a quick thought about khat. It seems like the general idea is that an extraction is not possible because the actives break down too quickly, but also it is imported from other countries under the right conditions and remains strong enough to be worth importing. So i was thinking, if a bunch of fresh shoots were collected at dawn, taken inside an aircon house, curtains drawn, run through a wheatgrass juicer, then the juice de-fatted with an appropriate solvent then extracted after changing the pH or whatever, would this yield cathinone? I know it would have to be stored properly and used asap but might be a cool idea even just as a novelty. My chemistry is pretty shit so could someone give any advice? Is cathinone more stable as free base? Does acid base type procedure even work for the actives in khat? Am i missing something very obvious (i'm still semi-asleep) or am i the smartest man in the world?

adding shitloads of lemon juice to a tea helps alot. also, drink as much as u can in one go, as i find the bitterness only comes on when the inside of your mouth loses contact with the liquid. if that makes sense lol

Ive googled many a time to try and find out what pH specific plants prefer, but for the majority of the ones that i grow its really hard to get any sort of answer, with most of the info on these plants being how to use them when they are grown. This thread would be great if everyone shares a pH + plant combination that they have had success with.
