    What do you reckon...?

Aren't there a few arguments around supporting climate change being entirely natural and our impact minimal? Not disagreeing with you as i have absolutely no idea. But i likes the warm weather
  3. Look through some of the old threads theres really good advice on soil especially for viridis. I think hunab has listed a specific recipe that sounds very nice

    Catha edulis - Khat

Early in this thread it was asked about red catha leaves drying out, even when the plant is recieving adequate water, just wondering if anyone knows why this is? It happens to some of my red plants but not others which are in pots next to it. Also i have had a small narrow leaf plant for several months now and it has been completely dormant up until a few days ago when the few leaves it has started going brown and crispy. Can anybody suggest anything to help it back to life? I think it may have been the cold and rain recently (perth), but it has very free draining soil and i am a bit hesitant to put it in my hot house for fear of rot. Maybe the hothouse is the way to go for a bit? Planthelper its interesting to see your posts about a cross being possible after i have seen the posts about your 'Planthelper strain'! Do you have plans to sell any plants in the future?

    What do you reckon...?

Ok good to know! There is nothing wrong with multiculturalism and i welcome them too, but if we have to change our laws, thats not too good. Oh well, if what they say is true there's nothing anyone can do about it so we may as well relax and enjoy it, like climate change

    Ethno Beta-Blockers (Fight or Flight)

Are these beta blockers easily available? I guess its prescription, so do you have to see a psychologist or will a GP give them out without too much fuss? They sound very useful, that nervous feeling is a real pain before presentations at uni

    What do you reckon...?

Yeah i see that its very over the top and aimed at dumb people... but if muslim is the majority then they will have voting power everywhere, which scares me a bit. Don't get me wrong it would be just as horrible if the church had more power too, they're idiots.

Do you still listen to 'old' music?

Yeah led zep is still good from time to time but the stones and david bowie i listen to all the time, and the angels. good stuff and im 20, so maybe you have just gotten bored of it since you've known it for a lot longer than we have.

    What do you reckon...?

I know im very susceptible to propaganda... but does the population thing really work like that? Because i am not religious and would very much dislike to live in a world where religion affects my daily life. Christianity included

    Psychotria Viridis Germination - H2O2?

Is it not to simulate the seed being swallowed and shat out by birds? The bleach being similar to the effect of stomach acid etc.

Ive always wondered what is meant by the 'canning section'... does anyone know what our equivalent is? does woolworths have a 'canning' section?

    skhatered

Don't swallow the leaves, just chew for a while and spit. That should help with the stomach, although i never get this so i swallow the leaves. Haha just 'got' your post title Also you could try chewing less leaves and drink a cup or two of good coffee. They mix really well so you will get same effect with less scattered feeling

Do you think my P. Viridis is sick?

If there's still been no improvement then you really really should repot in a much smaller pot. If the roots are fully drying out between waterings then it must be pretty hot there, and if it's that hot then surely the heat would have killed her by now. You must be quick! I wish i had listened to planthelpers advice and repotted in a smaller pot....

    20 min "Tropo-Yopo", 5-AcO-Yopo and Rue Resin

Haha nice mortar and pestle. So has anyone taken the acacia snuff any further? Also the calcium bufotenate that was mentioned above, has anybody had experience with that? I found this little procedure on erowid and the guy who wrote it seems to think its the best thing since sliced bread. "So I played around quite a bit and finally invented my own very extraction technique. Here’s how it’s done. Boil the powdered beans in water made pH 3 with hydrochloric acid for about an hour, and then filter out the beans, and repeat 2 more times with new water, also made pH 3 with hydrochloric acid. Concentrate the combined water extracts down and evaporate to leave some solid brownish gunk. Weigh this gunk and measure out an equal portion of calcium hydroxide (the same pickling lime used to make Yopo and Vilca snuff!). Dissolve the gunk in a small amount of isopropyl alcohol, just enough to make it a thick syrupy liquid, then add an equal portion of water, then mix in the calcium hydroxide. Mix it very well. You don’t want any clumps. It should be the consistency of thick pea soup. Let it sit for about 6 hours for the calcium hydroxide to react with the bufotenine, creating the basic salt calcium bufotenate. Now evaporate it (you can use an oven at 300 F for this step). Once it’s evaporated completely add a generous portion of acetone. Mix it well. The acetone won’t dissolve any of the calcium hydroxide, or much else, but will easily dissolve the calcium bufotenate. Let it sit an hour or more for the non-soluble particles to sink to the bottom, once the acetone takes on a clear dark amber color, poor your mix through a filter to obtain the acetone. You can repeat the acetone extraction with new acetone a few more times until its clear. Evaporate the combined acetone to get an extremely potent extract that is nearly 90% pure calcium bufotenine, which is one of the most potent forms of bufotenine. It’s the form found in properly make Yopo and Vilca snuff that has been used for thousands of years in South America. It’s more psychoactive than free-base bufotenine and much more psychoactive than the acidic salt form found in the unprocessed beans. " He smokes it in an improv base pipe and says 10-15mg blows your socks off with no adverse effects, unless going over the 15mg mark. What do you guys reckon? I have a friend in Brazil who might give it a shot soon also.

  21. I have no idea what is in a liberty cap but this article leads me to believe that amatoxin is present. Very misguiding.. Poor fella though.. I hope this isnt offensive to anyone but do you think it could have been intentional? Like maybe he was depressed after becoming disabled and wanted to euthenase himself with a hallucinogenic and poisonous mushroom combo and didn't realise it would take so long to cause death?

    Seven Deadly 'Shrooms

Crayz did u read that darwin award about the guy who ingests poisons because he believes he's making himself stronger? At a mycology conference decided to prove that the death cap being toxic is just a myth and ate the specimens! Somehow he survived and claims it as proof that it's safe to eat

Do you think my P. Viridis is sick?

Thats exactly how mine looked about a week before dying from root rot.. yours may be fine, but it could pay to check the roots arent remaining soggy inbetween waterings.
