Excellent doco Endrogen! Im burning a few copies to distribute to my activist friends. I loved the phrase "If you can be told what you can see or read... then it follows that you can be told what to say or think" Kind of reminded me of our media concentration of ownership in Australia. Here's another good torrent link http://www.salvia-divinorum-scotland.co.uk...video/download/ 8.7gb of goodness with a wide range of illuminating topics!

Hmm, I take it the .22 bullet is a last resort! But seriously, you should consider a trip to the casualty section of your local public hospital. Take a specimen of another barb so they can see what the end embedded in you is like. Good luck! -
I remember being in a hotel in the southern Thai city of had yai (sp?) in the late 1970's with a mate and we knocked off a bottle of that together and I had really strong opiate like dreams that night Needless to say we both bought our import limit of liquor back to Oz in the form of Mekhong hehehe!

Yeah Teo, Im in the vicinity. Its a category 4 and intensifying. Im just wondering about the aerodynamic efficiency of my in the ground 2.5 metre trich...should I cut it or let it ride out the wind?

Yeah, F*cking annoying when people cant display half way decent photos...my rule of thumb when selling stuff on ebay is "would I buy this?" from what has been visually presented..the dude should give HEAPS of different angles both macro and micro so the potential buyer feels as if they are almost there in person....jeez! Basic CDF stuff one would have thought....

I know, I'm such a martyr putting up with these extreme conditions!

Does anybody know if crocus sativus will thrive in the tropics?
-
Yep good points Rev. Im talking on the coast, dry tropics, minimal rainfall except for cyclones. Sandy soil and good drainage. High humidity for 6 months of the year. Not really contemplating commercial growing, more for my own needs. As long as they dont require a cold snap such as papaver germination, because it rarely gets below 12 degrees celcius here, even in the depths of an exceptional winter

Hello there. Just wondering if anybody else has tried xtreme herbs instant kava. I got a 20g sample. They recommend 1 or 2 teaspoons in juice. I tried this but with little effect. Afrter 24 hours I tried a heaped tablespoon with milk and got some effect but nothing to lay you in the aisles. By comparison, two tablespoons of 'normal kava' is very relaxing. Given the extreme price of this instant kava, I think I will stick to normal kava as it is much better value. Has anybody else come to the same conlusion??

Thanks Torst, magic work! World class in fact I would get another 10 seeds but I dont want to be greedy. The more diverse locations these beauties flourish the higher their chance of permanent retention in the community.

Well done Belf (and your partner too of course!) There's no other feeling in the universe that can compare after you witness your first child born and realise what you have helped create and add to the cosmos

My pet peeve is the sticky label they put on apples in supermarkets and having to peel them off. Serious button pusher for me is religous fanatics hassling you in your home

Background to the cartoon controversy
Agamemnon replied to Torsten's topic in Creativity, Spirituality & Philosophy
I think there is a gross amount of hypocricy here. The original newspaper which published the cartoons is a right wing christian one. It espouses freedom of speech, and yet in 2003 refused to publish blasphemous cartooons of jesus because "it might upset our readers". Come on, if its good enough for one!!?? Personally I think taking the piss out of "sacred cows" is a healthy reality check mechanism for society. I loved the cartoon which depicted Muhammed standing on a cloud up in heaven. In front of him is a long line of suicide bombers, freshly burnt to cinders, and he's shouting out to them "Stop! stop! we've run out of virgins!" -
Just the usual Greek tragedy...but his purported gold death mask reveals to me the folly of pursuing power and greed....resonated with me!

Oh no! I paid heaps over your price Darcy only recently. Still that's ok, if there is something you want ethnobotanically you just gotta follow your soul!..cause who knows the oppotunity may not present itself again...and that's when we spit our chips

Friday 6th January on SBS. Sounds like Iboga to me! From memory they also experience Ayahusca in another episode, but not sure if it has been aired yet? 07:30 pm DOCUMENTARY SERIES - TRIBE - Babongo A new six-part documentary series that follows the travels of British expedition leader Bruce Parry. Parry spent 12 months with some of the most remote tribes in the world, eating, sleeping and living the way they do. Bruce spends time with the Babongo tribe in central Africa. In a rite of passage that marks their transition to true manhood, the Babongo take a powerful hallucinogen that sends them on a life-threatening, three-day trip into the subconscious. When the Babongo judge that the time is right for Bruce to be initiated into the Bwiti faith, Bruce is fed a tree root which induces hours of vomiting, and the visions that follow are memories of childhood and of people he had hurt in the past. The rite ends with the tribe dancing with fire and encouraging Bruce to form meaning from the shapes he sees in the flames, leaving him exhausted but convinced that he's undergone a valuable, life-changing experience. I'm attempting to make a pottery replica of the Xochipilli statue which was found over 100 years ago near the volcano Popocatepetl in southern Mexico and was probably created about the end of the 14th century. Xochipilli was the "Prince of Flowers" and it is believed that the statue shows him undergoing a psychedelic experience. Im going to "fire" him in a wood kiln so in that respect he will be forged in a primitive and earthly manner. What I really need is clear images of the original from many different angles and a scale to go by. If anybody can assist I would be very grateful!

Just wondering if I was to grow mushrooms off cow manure, how long should I pressure cooker said material? Or would I be better off as far as success goes with combining grain?
