Salvia Divinorum: A legal herb, powerful like LSD, and available in Utah
MrBumpy posted a topic in News & Notices
http://www.abc4.com/local_news/featured_we...D5-C4A9F07A3FA5 I couldn't help but get a feeling of deja vu when I read this... Kathy and Dennis Chidester of Delaware say it took their son's life. They know their son Brett used salvia. But when they confronted him about it, he pointed out that it was legal and insisted it was not dangerous. But they say it caused him to commit suicide in their garage earlier this year. Dennis said, "he was lying in the fetal position on his jacket. And right away, I felt his body was cold. And so I called 911 and said, my son -- you know, my son's committed suicide." Kathy said, "there was no way that he would ever do anything like that. Not the son that I knew. Not the boy that we raised." I pretty sure I've read that story before... but can't be bothered UTSE right now to check. I'm pretty sure the story was posted here, and I think it was quite a while ago, so utah must be more behind the times then southpark has lead me to believe... -bumpy -
Not just for government jobs... The last couple of months I've been having interviews with mining companies for engineering work and in nearly all of them I've been ask about Ethical Practice and OHS. -bumpy

I've got a better example pracs in the fluids lab for engineering use flows of about 13 metre/sec. Multiply 13 by 3600 to get the vol per hour multipy by 3 which is how long the prac lasts for muliply by 2 since there are two prac groups running at once multiply by 4 for the number of different experiments run during the semester multipy by 4 for the number of days per week the pracs are run multiply by 8 for the number of weeks during the semester the pracs are run and you get a shitload of water however, I think that the water used is recycled and reused somehow, I don't really know. I think UQ has changed alot of the ways it uses water now though... all the watering of gardens and lawns and sporting ovals is done with reclaimed water now... as well as the fountains...the ones that are running use recycled water. There is still a shitload of toilets at the university though. It wont last forever... someday the out take of the islands aquifer is going to dramatically exceed the recharge rate, and at that stage you'll have to worry about the vegetation on the island dying.. rather then just your garden. ( Just wanted to try give you a little guilt trip )

My mates Jack Russell does the same thing with canetoads. He corners them and teases them for a bit, then holds them down with his paws and licks their backs, then after awhile, you can normally find him lying on his back in a corner in the garden for a while. Doesn't seem to have been detrimental to this dog either, I think he would be around 14 years old now. Unfortunately this wasn't the case for a second dog that they got, she died after she tried licking the toads -bumpy

25 years jail for owning any document that provides instructions for making illegal drugs (Qld)
MrBumpy replied to Torsten's topic in Legal Matters
Since I'm still kinda confused aboutthe legal status of salvia and salvorin a. Would this law apply to teks like the ones orb (Northern Gnome) has previously posted before? Esp the salvorin infused cigarette paper one. -bumpy -
Don't forget about the pokies... aah...they are like a drug in themselves... Also, a thing I've seen used a bit in pub fights is the glass people are holding... commonly known as 'glassing' . One of my friends ended up being arrested on New years because a guy was hitting on her, she declined...he called her a whore and she retaliated with a smirfnoff black to the mouth. She got charged and he lost 3 teeth. -bumpy

I didn't watch the video because it was taking too long to load for me, but those interested in this, some other good related links are http://www.popularmechanics.com/science/defense/1227842.html A popular mechanics article on 911 theories. http://wtc.nist.gov/pubs/factsheets/faqs_8_2006.htm National Institute of Standards and Technology: Fact Sheet www.911myths.com a very level headed approach to the conspiracy theories. -bumpy

I supermarkets don't seem to sell them anymore (Is this what you mean by them being tightly controlled?), but there are still a heap of 7-11 and nightowls that sell them. They aren't that cheap though...a lot of the time $6-$7 a box. Not really worth the $ in my opinion, but still fun all the same. -bumpy

Coalition or ALP, who has the most backward drug policy?
MrBumpy replied to stonewolf's topic in Legal Matters
I read in the courier mail this morning that the coalition will push for random drug testing of drivers...focusing on the detection of marijuana and amphetamines. Looks like they are trying to make sure they get Family First' preferences now that the greens have said that they are most likely to give preferences to Labour. -bumpy -
Phenergan, Stemzine, to cure HBWR nausea???
MrBumpy replied to xShiva.spacetechnology's topic in Ethnobotany
I get twitching legs anyway... although I never noticed it when I've had maxalon (used to have it for nausea when I got migraines in high school...probably didn't notice because my head felt like it was being split by a hammer inside). A couple of new years ago I accidently ingested some HBRW, after a while my stomach became upset and I ended up throwing up.. but afterwards my body felt fine.... my friend pointed out to me while I was lying around staring at the stars waiting for the HBRW to go away then my legs were bouncing around liek crazy, which I didn't realise... but no maxalon, so it can't always be due to the maxalon. -bumpy -

There is an extended edition DVD, I bought it for my sister a couple of christmasses ago. I think it's an extra hour or something of footage, with a lot more intro and narration. -bumpy

At the very least, they could give you a ticket for jay-walking. I don't know whether or not that gives them cause to be able to search you. I've been pulled over a few times for no reason (apart from that I drive a bomby old gemini through a very affluent suburb) and had an officer check my license and take my details, while the other officer walked around inspecting the car and checking in the windows. Apparently they are allowed just to do spot license checks. One time I was on my way home and was pulled over about 200m from my house, The officer looked a bit embarressed when he read my address and realised that they had pulled me over in my own street. I asked him why they had stopped me and his reply was," oh, just for a license check". -bumpy

Have you tried any enquires about Modavigil? That is what it is marketed as in Australia. A search on online pharmacies will reveal, but it requires a prescription. -bumpy

Freedom of speech and artistic expression in australia
MrBumpy replied to parzival's topic in Legal Matters
This topic has always interested me, a few years back a foaf found Phikal on the shelves of one of the chain book stores at Indooroopilly shopping centre ( Angus and Robertson if memory serves correctly), and not knowing that it was actually illegal, bought it. Now, a scenario I've been wondering about, my foaf still has his receipt, if he went back and kicked up a stink over them selling him an illegal book, I wonder how the store would handle it. I'd also love to see what sort of story today tonight or ACA would turn out if they were informed about it. -bumpy -
Queensland university uses 1-7. 1 being the lowest and 7 being the highest. I ended up with 4, 4, 5, 6 I think that translates to pass, pass, credit, distinction. I was very happy with my results, considering after finishing my exams I thought I had failed 3 out of the 4. Although I am a bit bummed I only got a 4 in the subject I was confident I did well in, I guess I'll just have to take the good with the bad. -bumpy
