The name Lone Wolf for a gang came across as me as kinda strange... I'm sure there might be a reason behind it.. but it's a gang.. you aren't really a lone wolf. It actually reminded me of a scene out of the movie Airheads. -bumpy

hmm... I was told pretty much the opposite thing by a policeman in high school. The scenario he put forward was the police show up at a party, walk in, there is a bowl of green vegetable matter on the table and a pipe next to it. He then asks us if no one claims ownership who can be charged? He said that everybody in the room could be charged for posession, since everyone in the room has the ability to take control of the bowl or some shit. Could have our local constable care been telling us bullshit? -bumpy

I was at a party on Friday night and saw a lemon in a fruit bowl... then I remembered this thread, so I ate the whole thing like an apple. about two minutes after I finished it I had to make a dash to the toilet to throw up. I have to admit, it was the tastiest vomit I've ever had.. all lemony fresh. Reminded me of lemon tarts I used to get when I was a kid. -bumpy

Just traying a bit form the topic of cucumber soda. But unless you actually own a cow, or know some one who does.. it's not possible to get unpasturised milk in aus is it? Milk intened for consumption has to be pasturised, but I remember a while back some group selling Cleopatra milk.. they said it was meant for bathing, so it didn't have to be pasturised... but then they had to stop. dunno, just struck me -bumpy

Why not look at other measures to keeps the kids out of your yard as well? Hook up one of those small electric rails that can be used to keep possums and cats out of yards, and tell your neighbours that you've set it up because some vermin is raiding your garden. Then wait, watch, and point and laugh when you see the kids shit themselves when they get zapped by it. If the parents complain, tell them that you warned them you were installing it, and that you don't want their kids climbing into your yard anyway, so tell them not to. -bumpy

This is why I wanted to make sure people knew I had limitied knowledge on the subject. At the moment, from what I've read, probably the biggest problem you encounter with someone who is doped up on opiates is them falling asleep while you are trying to carry on a conversation (something I remember reading here). Yet with the actual addiction, the withdrawls are extremely difficult, and most of the crime is from people who are have sobered up, but due to their addiction, are driven to extremes to obtain funds to get another hit. I agree with treating the addiction by supplying the drug in this. Where as, with Ice, people actually go ballistic as a result of taking the drug, and then get a double whammy when addiction comes in. I'll admit that I don't know anything about the withdrawl symptoms from ice, but I don't really see how letting people dose up to enable them to become potentially, a danger to themselves and to others is gonna help solve any of the problems associated with ice, since a lot of the problems come from when the people are actually affected by the drug. Unless maybe letting them get a fix, and then keeping them in a padded cell, but that doesn't really accomplish anything. Esp. if what Anodyne is correct and that ice WD's aren't too severe (again, I have don't have any knowledge on this subject, just repeating what has been said). I disagree here. There are different ways to beat addiction to different substances, and some substances are gonna be harder to kick then others. Look at the legal drugs nicotine and alcohol. You can get patches, gum, inhalers and pills to steadily reduce the amount of nicotine you take, rather then going cold tukery. I haven't heard of an alcoholic switching from full strength, to mid strength, to light to help them deal with their drinking problem. I've kinda gotten lost on the point I was trying to make... but pretty much I don't think that the same program that is proposed for heroin would help counter the problems from violent meth users. -bumpy

Would it actually help with violent Ice users? Please, correct me if I'm wrong, I've never been in a scene where heroin or Ice had a strong presence, but I thought most of the crime attributed with herion addicts, was as means for them to get funds for their next hit, and not so much when they actually are on their drugs. But with Ice, aren't a lot of the problems from when the have doesd up, and end up running amok... at least from the stories you see make it to the media ( I know its not the best least sensationalised source, but... ye know..) -bumpy

Hi guys, I made the mistake of leaving for work a few hours earlier then I normally do on Sunday, and was randomly pulled over and breath tested by the police. After the breathalyzer I found out I was driving while still over the limit with a reading of 0.065. Now I have to make a court appearance in May. I was wondering if any members have been unfortunate enough to make the same mistake as myself, and if you could tell me what to expect? I've tried to search for the likely penalties that I'll recieve, but they are vague at best, and say it really depends on the magistrate. Any idea what sort of penality you think I'll recieve? Will it make a difference that this happened on the Easter Weekend? -bumpy

Unless he was a repeat offender he wouldn't have had a conviction recorded anyway. There is no conviction recorded if it is below a certain level, I forget what though. -bumpy

You can't lose your right to ride your bike, but, ( it will depend on ho much you lip of to the policeman I guess) you can be charged with drink driving for riding a bicycle when drunk. (at least in Qld) According to the Sen Const. that visited my highschool oh so many years ago, Drink driving laws cover any sort of vehicle, including skateboards and shopping trolleys. -bumpy
