jetson77 : there are few herbal smoking blends that sold over the net...most of them I've heard of are Mullien based (don't know about the psychoactivity of mullien...anyone?) The herbs alot of people sell seem to be Hops, Skullcap, Californian Poppie, Opium Lettuce, Passion Flower, Lions Tail, Scotch Broom...umm, theres a few of them, just take a look around, you should be able to find info on it. -bumpy

The Police : maybe the guy was referring to the melatonin for the homeopathic remedies....you'd be surprised some of the stuff that is used in the magic water homeopaths give out. but its just got me thinking, if it was a homeopathic remedy of melatonin...wouldn't it make you stay awake and stuff? Since the idea behind Homeopathic treatment is to use a substance that causes the same effects as the problem you are trying to over come...so a homeopathic remedy of melatonin would be more for staing awake then going to sleep. -bumpy

Gomaos : The stuff about them being able to suck their guts back up and keep on ticking is true...next time it raise, go out and find a toad and step on their back until their guts come out, then leave them alone for a while and come back, you'll find the toad has had the ability to suck the guts back up and piss-off. I personally always try to kill a toad anytime a see them, for the reason that they are disgusting creatures and are a menace to other australian animals either by eating them or killing the other animals if they eat them. If I was too see a toad in the phillapines or where ever the fuck they come from it wouldn't phase me, but because they are a reason you see barely any green frogs around here anymore, I like to play cricket with them. -bumpy

Apparently dogs have figured out a way to get high through the use and abuse of cane toad venom. I can remember first seeing the article on GNW, about dogs in Townsville and related regions were finding the cane toads, then picking them up in their mouths and throwing them around, the cane toads would then have released venom out of their glands, and the dogs would then hold the toad down and lick them, I thought it was a bit far out until I saw my friends Jack-Russell doing the exact same thing in his backyard in Brisbane. A few minutes after he'd finished with the toad the dog was lying asleepin a weird position in the corner of the garden. -bumpy

dunno, dreams can be a tricky thing, the problem is, its mostly up to what veiwpoint you take...they aren't a science. Some people believe that they can read dreams and that different signals in the dreams mean different things and by interpretation can give you guidence in the future, some believe (from a psychologists view) that everything you dream is in relation to your current emotional state, and that everything is related to you. Then again, some people just believe dreams are the point at when we are unconcious so our imagination takes over instead of our logical conscious thought. Personally I don't really know, I know my most recent dreams from as a far back as at least primary school (I'm first year Uni now) usually involve me running from someone and not being able to keep my balance, and not being able to open my eyes properly to see where I'm going, or a dream where my teeth and falling out (in that annoying way they did when you were losing baby teeth, how they'd still be connect to the route and would get caught on the side of your mouth and stuff), I don;t know what they mean, or if they mean anything at all. oh, I forgot those special dreams when I was about 14-17 when I always woke up...ummmm... but that was explained to me in sex ed -bumpy

Is it the essential oil that gives pot that distinct smell when its gets burnt? If it is, would you be able to get put soak some plant matter in the oil and then smoke it to get the taste of marijuana without the evil illegal THC factor? If this is possible, it would be quite possible to sell fake dope to people by soaking mullien in the essential oil and then selling it to people. well, I'm assuming that the conference will be in Bryon yes? There is always the backpackers for accomodation down there, and if worst comes to worst, you can always go pitch a tent and camp out somewhere. as for transport, for someone without a car or a license, it is a problem for me...I think a few others have got this problem aswell.

I can remember earlier this year when Indooroopilly High fertilsed its oval, after it rained for a few days, there were mushrooms growing all over the place. I wouldn't actually know if these were of the kind that you'd be interested in observing though. I'm not too sure you'd find any mushrooms anywhere at the moment, since we haven't had any rain in how long? making all the grass that is usually green brown. I'll ask around some of my teenage dero friends if they know any spots. -bumpy
