    Customs and quarantine fees?

ok, I think a few of you guys know about this stuff, so I figured you would be good to ask. A few weeks ago my sister got a package from her ex-boyfriend, who is living in, and sent the package, from china. Now, the package arrived through DHL, arrived at our front door and I signed for it. Haven't thought about it since... until today, when she got a letter from DHL with an invoice charging her $47, I've forgotten what it said the actual charge was for, quarantine inspection or something it said... but it says to save time DHL pays the goverment charges itself, and is now charging my sister $47 ($43 + $4 GSt). Now, that value of the package itself is only worth $5, and I know my sister doesn't want to pay $47 for a present that is only worth at the most $5. So I'm just wondering what will happen if she doesn't pay it?. Is she under any legal obligation to pay it? -bumpy

    Lethal drugs

I dunno... I'm leading to the fucked research side..although my minds a bit frazzled from studyin so I might not picked up everything from the article. One thing I got the feeling was that the good doctor was saying if you are gonna smoke, make it a habit rather then a few one off binges? -bumpy

    race advantages

Are aboriginals really all that good at sport? or are you just grouping them with people of african decent because they are "black"? How many really prominent aboriginal sportspeople are there...? Not too sure if there is even one professional aboriginal basketball player at the moment. -bumpy

    miagrains

Used to get them quite a bit, but haven't had one for about 1 or 2 years now I think. I first started getting them when I was in about grade 6 or seven, got them about once a week, when i was that young I used to just get a pain behind one eye...as I got older the symptoms started to change, in high school I started to get numbness move through my body and my vision would go, and I'd end up being sick, Never found a trigger, but once I finished high school, they seemed to have stopped, so stress could have been a factor. My sister who also suffered migraines found the chocolate would trigger a migraine for her.. she even ate a whole block of cabury dairy milk once to get out of an exam -bumpy

    Ghb 'od' on the news

"An example is a person that my friend knows - at a dinner party she told us - and she actually believed - that the rise in roadrage was a direct result of 'everyone being on drugs." well, I'm guessing thats kinda true... the amount of bogans driving their V8 holden utes or rusty old shit boxes that their mechanic mate gave a roadworthy cert to because they shouted him a carton, who I've seen beep people and throw the finger up and yell abuse, who have been wearing VB, XXXX, Bundy or Jim Beam singlets is pretty fuckin high,,, not to mention that I saw alot of this when I was working in a servo on very busy road in brisbane, most of the time it happened after they'd just come in and bought a coke and a pack of cigs fuck I hated that job I now clean up rat shit for money...it pays better..and i prefer the company of the rats hell, don't listen to me...I'm on drugs... a 6 pack of tooheys on an empty stomach after 2 hours or sport...goes straight to the head. well shit, I forgot the point I was gonna make, I'm gonna go watch the rest of Angel... in this episode they are having a party and they all seem to be boozed out of their skulls -bumpy

    Ghb 'od' on the news

What I find annoying is the news stry that caught my eye at the start of the news was "dangerous 'new' drug blah blah blah"... then they go on about GHB, giving the street names as GBH, or grievous bodily harm (does anyone actually use that term for it apart from the media and school teachers?) and it made me think... how long does a drug need to be in the spotlight of the media for it to no longer be classed as a new drug... GBH has to be going on 7 years since I first heard about it as a young impressionable school boy -bumpy

    First Death by dope

http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2-20040...4031295,00.html First death by dope A MAN aged 36 is thought to have become the first in Britain to die directly from cannabis poisoning. Lee Maisey smoked 25,000 joints during his 11-year addiction to the drug — due to be decriminalised later this month. He said he had a headache before collapsing. Yesterday a coroner recorded that single Mr Maisey, of Summerhill, Pembrokeshire, died from cannabis toxicity. Afterwards experts warned cannabis was getting stronger — and risks were even higher if it is eaten rather than smoked.

well, I was bored so I decided to search the Australian DVD sites.. and found Assassin of Youth and Marihuana for $5.95 and $7.95, so I had to buy them..as it would likely cost me more (the way I am with rental) to rent them if I ever found them... I'm so happy with myself -bumpy

  17. For anyone who can actually get a decent reception of Briz31 .. they are airing the 1939 anti-marijuana film Assassin of Youth, at 9.30 pm on the 17th. Also, I recently aquired a DVD burner, and am planning on getting a video capture card in the near future, so if any one feels like taping it (I have shitty reception for Briz31), I'd be happy to try put it onto DVD for others if I get my shit figured out -bumpy

    Drugs don't work.

Migraines are a bitch, I started getting them in primary school, and then as I got older they progressively got worse, in primary school I would just get a constant pain behind my eye, then I can remember in grade 8, sitting in class with my whole left hand side of my body going numb..couldn't write because I'm left handed, wasn't until grade 9 that I actually started loosing vision and eventually throwing up when I got one...but as they got worse, I got them more often. Alot of the time when I had them it was like I'd taken some really shitty drug or something, couldn't see properly, my tongue would go numb and I couldn't talk without slurring, and I would have the dumbest thought processes and make the dumbest decisions... I know one time I walked home from school in indooroopilly to Kenmore during the 40degree heat wave, I can remember deciding to do it because I didn't want to catch the bus, because I thought I might vomit on it.. another time I got in trouble because a teacher thought i was drunk. I've been told that migraines are easier to avoid if you know what triggers them...I never found the trigger for mine... my sister also suffered migraines, she figured out that chocolate could trigger hers... and I remember one time she didn't want to sit an exam so she ate a whole block of dairy milk to deliberately get a migraine so she could get out of the test..crazy I haven't had a migraine for about a year now though, had acupuncture and used feverfew but didn't really notice any change.. but after I finished high school I've only had a couple of migraines (in 3 years) which is much better then getting them once a month. I also found that some of the most painful things to do when you have a migraine is sneezing and trying to take a dump. -bumpy

While I was doing my christmas shopping I came across absinthe being sold at the bottle shop on the ground level in the indro shopping centre. It was priced at 49.99 if memory serves right, it was imported, didn't take much notice of it at the time, but just letting you know its there if you are interested. -bumpy

MrBumpy was a little Green monster that ate socks and would hang out with his pal Squishiton who lived in a toilet... truth is, I came across this when I was about 16 I think.. just like the name, so I started using it in chat and on forums. -bumpy

    Chop chop

I seem to remember someone posting a few months ago (could have been last year...my memory is terrible now...don't let anyone tell you drinking doesn't affect it) warning people about how its possible chopchop has fungus and moulds and stuff in it from the dealers wetting the tobacco to try increase its weight? Chop chop isn't really the stuff you'd want to use to try make chimo would it? -bumpy

    hanson-hitler-similarities

I agree with deaders... people comparing groups/people with Hitler is really overused, and all it does is trivialise the attrocities that were committed by the nazi regime. now, I'm in no way a Hanson supporter, but I don't really see the justification in calling her a bad person and all of that, I'm interested to know if the people who are going on about her being racist and all can actually tell me the policies she has proposed along the way, or what she said in her maiden speech in parliament that caught the eye of the media that has made her famous. ( I know I don't) Personally, I have to admit I do have some respect for her, as she has her beliefs (even if I may not agree with them) and has stuck with them, even when she became the target of the media (unluck some of the major parties who will backflip on issues, or have no real opinion on anything). I think most of her appeal to people comes from the fact that she is one of the people she is trying to represent, she is a generic, everyday, hard-working australian, she has had to work through the same troubles as her voters and probably her real problem is that she is ignorant, but then again, so are the people she is trying to represent. -bumpy

    Aussie friends done good

I was pretty disgusted to see that Australian camera's weren't allowed to film the Green's protesting...and that the only footage shown on Australian news was from a foreign source. I haven't heard though...did they end up doing the pre-arranged standing ovation? that sort of shit is waaay more childish then what the greens did. -bumpy
