    happiness thread

For me it is all of those (questions at the top) in moderation and combinations (of them) and more. It is being at peace with where I am and who I am with. (There has to be a good laugh in there too) It is following the flow of life for me. Money...that is a whole new topic...but it is important in the equation. In a sentence, not lots, but just enough to be comfortable.

    Cannabis seed in shop

I overheard a discussion at a pub where one person purchased some seeds years ago. It was back in about 2002 just before the world cup. They had to sign A name....possibly theirs. Like I said, things have changed. I understand it to be illegal now. Japan is just like any other country, in that there are young and old looking for an outlet, a dance, a time to reflect, or what ever the reason is why people experiment. It may seem that the country is all neat and law abiding, but there are definitely individuals that enjoy nature's gifts! I have to say that some of the best experiences I have had (so far in my life) were in Japan. On the mountain with the sun coming up between the mountains with my friends. Ohh, what fun .

    Cannabis seed in shop

I lived there for 3 years while shrooms were once legal. There was a loop hole in the law which is closing up fast. The eatible seeds are available in the spice section, and there are some shops that sell the others. You just have to agree not to grow them and only eat them;)

Post your experiences with the fuzz

Two different incidents. First was when I was in my early 20s at uni. Owned a Datsun 200B, I think. It was in the early 90s in Perth. The car was old, but tires were legal, all the lights worked, there was no rust, it didn't blow smoke, etc. You get the drift. I was driving home from a lecture and a police officer pulls me over. He says he saw something hanging down under the car like the exhaust or something and needs to check it. We both get down and there is nothing there. He says smuggly, "Ohh well mate, I'll check a few other things while I am here." I heard later that technically they needed a legitimate reason to pull you over. eg speeding, no rego, faulty tail light, or something. So he obviously makes this up to get cars like mine. He gives me a yellow sticker (not sure of the system in other states but in Perth it means you can't drive it anymore until it goes over the pits..$$ and time). His reasons are (he needs three) 1)dirty motor 2) old seat belt material 3)worn rubber pad on the accelerator pedal Second story, different day, different car, different time Two police officers say I cross the double white line. They were parked in a car park looking at right angel to the road. I know that I DID NOT cross the line and even more sure that they would have found it hard to see since they were looking towards the side of my car rather than behind. I challenged them and they smuggly commented that I have no chance because it is 2 police officers word against mine. To this day, I remember their arrogance and sliminess. They were right. Even if I went to the courts, I had no witnesses and I was merely a person! EDIT >>add>> I forgot to say something very important. These are only two bad apple experiences and we all know that the bad ones stick with us more. There have been many good experiences in between (not directly) but more that there is some protection there. I trust (hope) that the majority of police work with integrity and try to do the best for society. I hope I when I am out and some idiot goes mad in a bar glassing people (or even worse with a knife), the police turning up with hopefully try to protect us. Those experiences are easily taken for granted.
  9. I have to agree with The Alchemist...there is a lot in there! My 2 cents worth> I understand there can be multi-level theories some blatantly obviously true and those which the opposite. I consider them to be like an onion's skin with me at the centre and there are some directly involving me (emails monitoring, flybuy programs, passport travel, etc) and those on the outside which happen but don't involve me directly (CIA plots to blame the twin tower tragedy on a terrorist act). There are even more further out, like the one about reptiles living amongst us and controlling us subtly. (Trip long enough and you too can see them!) I minimise my involvement in the monitoring if I can without living in a cave. Holymountain is so right about the TV. I threw mine away years ago because 99% of the content is "bullshit media propaganda". The ones I mentioned "on the outside of the onion" will exist no matter what I do in my life. My life here, now has little involvement in the outcome (although it can be affected by the ripple). I know that the government builds profiles on everyone, including me through internet information, emails, flight details and possibly other forms. That is how they monitor terrorist threats by monitoring "chatter" as there is a spike in key phrases or words. At the end of the day, I have nothing to hide. I am also a small fish that is not worth anything. Cycle, have you heard of the "law of attraction"? It IS the buzz phrase around lately. I personally believe in the creation of physical matter from thought (obviously not instantaneous!!). Our bodies are created from our mind, not the other way around! What I am getting at is that if you are thinking of "conspiracy theories" and that thought is held in your mind, then they will appear in your day to day life. Also, have you ever got a new something, like a red toyota hatch or pink ipod nano or whatever, and then you suddenly notice them everywhere. It is not that they were not there before, it is just that you are thinking of them and you notice them there. Zeitgeist (the online documentary) puts forward the theory of a one world government. Something like that(if true) is already in motion. I cannot click my fingers and make it go away but I can only shift the direction of outcome through my time on earth and my influence on my path and those that it touches. Actually, that is what this forum is about and that is what things like EGA is for!

    Simple Spore prints

Genesis, I was happy to read this post because I have been thinking of playing around with some supermarket mushies myself. I'm on holidays and have some spare time, so I thought, "why the hell not!" On top of that, it should be a bit of a learning curve for me. I was looking at some field mushrooms today at the market and some of them had not opened up completely yet. I thought about buying those ones and leaving them out on the bench for a day or two to see if they open a little more. I have to laugh, because I'm a little lazy too because I didn't get around to posting the same message to get some ideas..until now

I'm up for any new book so I'll have a look at your suggestion blowng. well that is a whole different topic. Yes, i agree to some degree but I think it has a huge number of factors affecting this belief. Setting, friends, your belief system and perception are some major ones that come to mind

I have read The Power of Now, but not a new earth. I have a collection of favourites and I always thought that The power of Now is one of them. I understand that feeling of not gelling with some books at times. Like I pick up something that someone has mentioned and it just doesn't gel. I like how the power of now just reminds me of the simple truth. It also has tiny pockets of thoughts that are seperated by symbols that he recommends you read little by little and reflect. There are a few that I have marked, that are particular helpful for me. Ocassionally I will pick it up and just turn to those and subtlely remind myself. In saying that, there are other bits that I just skim over. I have one book called, "The World Of Perception" by Maurice Merleau-Ponty. My friend gave it to me years ago and since then I have attempted to read it about 5 times. I don't know why, but I can't finish it. The words just don't ...? Can't explain it. I have others like Ken Wilber and I love them. Can't get enough.
